Barcelona vs. PSG Expert Picks

1**u – Under 2.5 Goals @ +160 (Click To Bet)**

1**u – Draw/Barcelona (HT/FT) @ +490 (Click To Bet)**

This game isn't quite as exciting as it was a few years ago. Barcelona aren't the team that they were and PSG are missing key members of their team.

Barcelona welcome the Parisians to the Nou Camp and know Tuesday's rivals well, having met a number of times in the past few seasons. This isn't that same Barcelona though, and they're no longer feared like they used to be. Lionel Messi is aging, but still one of the world's best players and he could be playing against his future team here.

Ronald Koeman's Barcelona have slowly improved through the season, finally getting back on track after a dreadful start. They are still missing a number of players though. Sergi Roberto, Gerard Pique, Ansu Fati and Phillipe Countinho won't play, joining the likes of Angel Di Maria, Neymar, Juan Bernat and possibly Marco Verratti, PSG's injured players, as big names who we won't see on Tuesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino is still in the early days of his job in Paris and has yet to get hte team playing totally in his image. That will be even harder without Neymar, who despite his playacting, is incredible at bringing the ball forward and helping transition from defense to attack. We'll likely see Moises Kean and Mauro Icardi starting alongside Kylian Mbappe, but the reality is that the Frenchman will have the weight of the team on his shoulders and that he'll be integral to PSG's hopes of scoring.

We've historically seen a lot of goals in the game, and the odds suggest we'll see that again, but I believe that sometimes you need to zig when others zag, and we'll be going a different way. We'll be taking Under 2.5 goals here. With so much attacking talent missing, and teams in various states of rebuilding, I think we can assume that past matchups shouldn't come in to play here.

PSG are averaging a goal conceeded every 1.5 games, something which gives me hope that Barcelona won't be freescoring, Barcelona too are averaging under 1 goal conceeded per game. So we're backing the under at +160.

We're also going to wager on something else which hasn't happened in recent games between the pair. I'm expecting the game to be tied at the half, in line with what we've discussed above. I do thing however that Barcelona will have enough to secure the win, given PSG's struggles without Neymar. So we're taking Draw/Barcelona at nearly 5/1, which is a huge price.
