The second leg of this Champions League semifinal has the potential to be defining moment for both sides. If PSG lose then it'll be another chance for people to jibe that Pochettino is 'Spursy' and has no bottle. Likewise if Man City lose, having got the lead at the halfway point, then it'll be damning for Pep Guardiola who was taken to Manchester to win this trophy.
Sadly it looks like Kylian Mbappe is unlikely to start and was seen hobbling into PSG's hotel in Manchester with a limp. Could it be gamesmanship? Most certainly and given his importance to the Parisians it certainly wouldn't be a surprise if his name appeared in the starting lineup when it's announced at 2pm ET.
This game feels like Man City's to lose. They performed brilliantly in Paris, although PSG's implosion certianly helped them. Now they hold a one goal lead and crucially two away goals, which could be vital. Man City have only shipped 24 goals in 34 games in the Premier League this year which should concern PSG bettors.
The first leg was end-to-end with plenty of goalmouth action. In the first half of that game PSG looked unbeatable but they tired in the second period and a series of mental mistakes, from Kaylor Navas, the wall and then Idrissa Gueye, who got a red card, handed City the win.
I'm expecting the game to be fairly tight in the first half. Man City won't want to give PSG hope with an early goal and they'll be pragmatic, as much as you see from a Guardiola side anyway. They'll look to frustrate PSG, retain the ball and try to score.
The second half is where this game will come alive. If Mbappe doesn't start then he'll almost certainly come in here. PSG will throw bodies forward trying to score and you'd have to imaine that they'll manage a goal. The issue is that they'll be left wide open at the back and give City every chance to score too. Odds of +188 on both teams to score in the second half look generous and worth backing.
As the game progresses we'll see PSG continue to let their emotions overpower their play, something we saw in the second half of the first leg last week. Neymar got a yellow card in that match and at +200 looks a great bet to do it again. When there's drama it's very rare that the boy from Brazil isn't far behind, and this match looks set for either Neymar brilliance or another blemish on the record of most unpopular but brilliant player of all time.
Ultimately City will win this game, they have quality in depth, less injury concerns and a better mentality. The game may start tight but we'll see a flurry of goals in the second half as the tie gets away from PSG. Expect fireworks.
