Linfield vs. Bodo/Glimt Prediction

Following a superb performance from Nigerian striker Victor Boniface who scored four goals in the double-legged tie against Klaksvik, Bodo is now targeting a place in the Champions League. They won the Norwegian top flight for just the second time last year, finishing top of the Eliteserien with 63 points and qualifying for another shot at Europe's top club competition.

The Norwegian champions won seven of their last nine fixtures across all competitions and they had scored two or more goals in four of their previous five clashes. It needs to be noted that they had scored at least twice in four of their previous six road games.

Bodo/Glimt are sure to capitalize on the red-hot form of striker Victor Boniface, who has scored five times in his last four appearances, so the talented forward should lead the attacking line for the visitors. On top of that, they have experienced midfielder Amahl Pellegrino who’s working hand in hand with Boniface and netted six goals in his previous six appearances. Last weekend he came from the bench in the 77th minute and scored a brace in the 2-0 victory on the road against Ham-Kam.

Bodo Glimt should be more match ready for this tie given they are mid-season back in Norway, where they sit in fourth place in the Eliteserien. They have been strong in the European competitions, reaching the Conference League quarter-finals last season.

Linfield has been dealing with consistency issues for quite some time now. They have been unable to win three competitive games in a row for a very long period of time now. Yes, they won their previous three but two of them were friendly games, so they don’t count. They pulled off the upset in the previous qualifying round coming back from one goal down to beat TNS 2-0 in the second leg and qualify further in the competition.

The Northern Irish outfit has never got past this stage of the competition, running into the likes of Celtic in 2017 and AEL Limassol in 2012 before suffering heavy exits. They actually won just two of their last 10 European games, so don’t expect them to suddenly play like Manchester City. Their winger, Joel Cooper, transferred from Port Vale suffered a calf injury again TNS and will be out for at least six weeks.

Linfield vs. Bodo/Glimt

1st Parlay Pick: Bodo/Glimt Team Total Over 1.5 goals at -165

Dinamo Zagreb vs. Shkupi Prediction

Dinamo Zagreb enters this clash as heavy favorites being priced at -1100 with Bet365. Zagreb has been crowned champions of Croatia for the fifth season running. They kicked off their domestic season last weekend beating city rivals Lokomotiva Zagreb 3-2 with Swiss international and former Norwich forward Josip Drmic scoring a superb brace.

They have a new manager, Ante Cacic and they enjoyed an unbeaten pre-season campaign in which they scored six goals in two friendly games, followed by a nice 1-0 victory against Hajduk Split in the Croatian Super Cup. They haven’t suffered a home defeat since December 2021, even beating Sevilla 1-0 in the Europa League Round of 32.

They signed young and talented defender Bosko Sutalo from Atalanta in the summer transfer window. The Croatian champions should have all the necessary weapons to put one foot firmly in the third round with a convincing win.

The North Macedonian outfit narrowly saw off Lincoln Red Imps in round one of the qualifiers and will look to keep their run going. Unfortunately, the difference in quality and experience between the two teams is huge, and let’s not forget that Dinamo has been impressive on home turf, where they are yet to lose a game this year.

Teams from North Macedonia have a poor record against Croatian clubs in European major competitions, losing eight of nine and conceding 25 goals in the process. Yes, they might have the fighting spirit on their site, but they are playing on the road and Zagreb’s fans are well known for creating a superb atmosphere in the stands.

Champions League Qualifiers Parlay @ +128 (Bet $100 to win $128)

  • Leg 1: Bodo/Glimt Team Total Over 1.5 goals at -165
  • Leg 2: Dinamo Zagreb HT/FT at -238
