Dynamo Kyiv vs. Fenerbahce Prediction
Dynamo Kyiv embarked on a ‘Stop the War, Play for Peace’ campaign in which they traveled around Europe following the cancellation of the Ukrainian Premier League halfway through the season. They were sitting second in the league after 18 games, two points behind Shakhtar Donetsk but they only played friendly games since December 2021.
However, their recent results in friendlies are not that consistent as they lost both of their previous two fixtures allowing at least two goals in each match. Last season they managed to qualify in the Champions League group stages but they finished last behind Bayern Munich, Benfica, and Barcelona scoring just once in six games and picking up just one point in the process.
Some of their players decided to leave the club, being loaned to other clubs in Europe. They kept some of their important players, with most of them being Ukrainians. We all know they will definitely play with their heart and give everything on the pitch and dedicate their victory to the people who remained in the country fighting on the front lines.
On the other side, Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Super Lig, eight points behind Trabzonspor. They enjoyed a great pre-season campaign winning five of their six friendly games and keeping four clean sheets in the process. They finished third in their Europa League group last term behind Eintracht and Olympiacos but they lost their double-legged tie against Slavia Prague in the Conference League Round of 32.
Fenerbahce is having an impressive form away from home. They have won five of the past six road affairs scoring goals at a good rate. With new coach Jorge Jesus at the helm, Fener has been in fine form and we expect them to return home with a positive result. The Turkish outfit was very busy in terms of recruitment this summer. Diego Ross from LAFC, Lincoln from Santa Clara, Bruma from PSV, Emre Mor, and Willian Arao, and just a few of Fener’s summer signings. Dynamo Kyiv’s coach, Romanian Mircea Lucescu is one of the oldest managers still operating at the top level of European football.

Ferencvaros vs. Slovan Bratislava Prediction
After playing out a goalless draw with Tobol in the first leg, Ferencvaros destroyed their opponents on home soil beating them 5-1 with Adama Traore and Fortune Bassey scoring a brace each. The hosts came within a whisker of making the Champions League Group Stage last year, though their eventual narrow playoff defeat to Young Boys should add to their eagerness to go one better in 2022.
They have played five friendlies over the summer getting ready for the new campaign, including a 4-1 victory over Karlsruhe. They are amazing on home soil and have the edge in terms of quality and continental know-how here. At home, Ferencvaros is currently having a winning run for three consecutive games, including friendly games.
Slovan Bratislava played out two goalless draw fixtures against Dinamo Batumi but they managed to score twice in the second leg’s extra time. It was their only win in their previous six games including three friendly games. They kicked off their domestic league with a 2-1 away defeat to Podbrezova and we don’t expect them to return to winning ways on Wednesday.
The Hungarian side hasn’t kicked off their domestic league so it’s normal to have a slow start (see the away draw against Tobol) but they are a different animal when playing in front of their fans in a sold-out stadium. Ferencvaros has the experience on their side and they should have enough to solve the qualification issue from the first leg.
Ferencvaros vs. Slovan Bratislava Pick
Pick: Ferencvaros HT/FT at +100 (Bet $100 to win $100)
