Celtic vs. Real Madrid Prediction

The Scottish champions kicked off their domestic league in style with seven wins in a row across all competitions leading the Premiership with 18 points picked up in six games and 25 goals scored in the process. They enter this clash on the back of a superb 4-0 win in the Old Firm Derby against Rangers and will be hoping for momentum against the European champions.

This is Celtic’s first Champions League fixture since they finished third in the 2017/18 group stages. They’ve never progressed beyond the group stages since the 2012/13 campaign and this time they were drawn into group F together with Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, and RB Leipzig. They look great in their domestic league but the difference in quality between them and the Champions League holders Real Madrid is huge.

Still, they are at home and we expect a superb atmosphere in the stands. They have nothing to lose and they will probably play on the front foot trying to surprise the Spanish giants. On the other side, after winning the Champions League and their domestic league last season, Real Madrid kicked off their campaign in style winning the European Super Cup against Eintracht and earning maximum points in their first four La Liga fixtures. It’s important to note that they scored at least twice on each occasion and we expect them to do it again.

Two weeks ago, they lost Casemiro who signed with Man United but Aurelien Tchouameni has looked like a worthy successor in the Los Blancos’ midfield. He gets in the box, he’s faster and his pass completion is fantastic. Los Blancos are probably the most consistent team in Europe and we expect them to extend their goalscoring form on Tuesday against Celtic.

Celtic vs. Real Madrid Pick

  • 1st Parlay Pick: Real Madrid Team Total Over 1.5 goals (-122)

AC Milan, who the Italian Serie A last season, is unbeaten in their last 21 league games, which is the best ongoing record in Europe’s top five leagues. The Rossoneri finished rock-bottom in their Champions League group last season winning just one game in the process. There’s huge pressure on the visitors after being drawn into a difficult group together with Salzburg, Chelsea, and Dinamo Zagreb.

They enter this clash after winning the Milan derby 3-2 against Inter with Rafa Leao scoring a brace. They managed to keep their squad spine in the summer transfer window with the only important player who left being Franck Kessie to Barcelona but they also spent $48m on new players with their most notable transfer being 21-year-old attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge.

On the other side, Salzburg made the breakthrough in the Champions League last season, reaching the last 16. Expectations are now higher and despite losing many important players in the summer transfer window, they are the same positive team, one of the most entertaining teams to watch. Matthias Jaissle’s troops are dominating their domestic league and they enter this clash on the back of six straight wins across all competitions, scoring twice on each occasion. They are amazing on home soil and we expect them to play their chance. They are dealing with some injury issues but we still expect them to find the back of the net and offer us an entertaining clash.

  • 2nd Parlay Pick: Over 2.5 Goals (-125)

Tuesday's Champions League Group Stage Parlay (+179): (Bet $100 to Win $179)

  • Celtic vs. Real Madrid: Real Madrid TT Over 1.5 (-122)
  • Salzburg vs. AC Milan: Over 2.5 Goals (-125)
