Graham Ruthven is back with his picks for Wednesday's EURO 2020 action

EURO 2020 Odds: Italy vs. Switzerland

Every team at Euro 2020 has now played once and so it’s at this point the picture of who are the teams to watch (and who aren’t) starts to become clearer. Some sides will be looking to build on a positive start to the tournament while others already have to make up for lost ground to make the knockout rounds.

Italy are among the former having claimed a 3-0 win over Turkey on opening night, but Switzerland have the potential to be trickier opponents for Roberto Mancini’s side. Meanwhile, Finland are the home side against Russia in Saint-Petersburg (work that one out) and Wales face Turkey in Baku. Here are some predictions and picks for Wednesday June 16 at Euro 2020.

Italy vs. Switzerland Prediction

As already referenced, a 3-0 win over Turkey on opening night has prompted many to label Italy as one of the frontrunners to go all the way at Euro 2020, but Mancini’s side might find it tougher to play through Switzerland, who started their tournament with a 1-1 draw against Wales.

This is a game that will likely be won or lost in the centre of the pitch where Italy’s midfield unit of Nicolo Barella, Jorginho and Manuel Locatelli is among the most accomplished and best balanced in the whole tournament. If Switzerland are to claim anything from this one, they’ll need to disrupt their opponents in this area.

Federico Chiesa could come in for Domenico Berardi on the right side, with Marco Verratti potentially set for a return from injury, but besides this, Italy, who have scored two or more goals in their last 11 European Championships games (including qualifiers), should line up relatively similarly to the way they did in their opening Group A fixture.

EURO 2020 Odds: Finland vs. Russia Prediction

Finland claimed victory in their first ever appearance at a European Championships, albeit in far from ideal circumstances, but they showed enough in that performance against Denmark to suggest they will be a difficult side for Russia to break down.

0.5u - Back Draw @ +285

EURO 2020 Odds: Turkey v Wales Prediction

Both these teams come into this fixture after leaving a lot of questions unanswered in their first Group A games. Turkey and Wales will be aiming to improve on toothless performances against Italy and Switzerland respectively. The latter must find a way to get Garth Bale involved.

1u - Back Under 1.5 Total Goals @ +163
