LA Galaxy vs. LAFC Betting Odds

El Trafico, as it is widely dubbed, has grown into one of the fiercest rivalries in North American soccer since its inception in 2018. Sunday will witness after compelling clash between the LA Galaxy and Los Angeles FC with plenty on the line for both franchises as the playoffs start to appear on the horizon.

The Galaxy currently finds themselves in the playoff positions in the Western Conference, but they only have a four-point cushion on eighth place. LAFC, however, has work ahead of them if they are to claim a postseason spot, with Bob Bradley’s side currently in ninth place in the West. Here are some tips and precautions ahead of the Major League Soccer fixture between the LA Galaxy and the LAFC on Sunday, October 3.

LA Galaxy vs. LAFC Prediction

LAFC come into this match on the back of three straight defeats, which have seen them slide down the Western Conference. Bradley’s team is struggling to keep things tight in defense - LAFC hasn’t kept a clean sheet in their last five league games - they are also struggling for firepower after the departure of Diego Ross.

The omens aren’t exactly great for Los Angeles FC, who have lost six of their last seven away games in MLS. They might have drawn their previous meeting with the LA Galaxy back in late August. Still, that match was played at Banc of California Stadium, where Bradley’s team boasts a considerably better record this season.

However, the LA Galaxy isn’t in much better shape. Just like their rivals, the Carson club comes into this game on the back of three straight defeats. Worse than this, the Galaxy is without a win in their last eight league matches, a run that stretches back to mid-August. So it’s remarkable that they still find themselves in the playoff positions.

Greg Vanney’s team has scored just once in their last three league outings. Despite all this, El Trafico has a history of producing goals and chaos. The LA Galaxy and LAFC will attack each other, not just because this is what we have come to expect from this fixture, but because their season and place in the playoffs might depend on it.
