Man City v Liverpool prediction
Best Bet - 1u - Liverpool to win @ +250
- Liverpool have won 35 of their previous 38 EPL games
This could have been the game of the season until Chelsea put Man City to the sword, handing the title to the Reds without them even playing.
This is Liverpool's first game since their wild celebrations, which does leave me slightly worried they could still be a little under the weather but a price of +250 is too hard to turn down for a team who've been so dynamic this season.
Klopp is meticulous in his preperation and I don't think he'd have let that slip here. City meanwhile are almost impossibly short at +102, which without the injured Sergio Aguero, and the suspended Fernandinho, seems surprising.
This could be one worth leaving until an hour before kickoff when teams are announced, if either Liverpool have rotated their XI too much then it's one to fade.
1u - Both teams to score in the first half @ +275
- Man City's last 5 games have involved a first half goal
- 81% of Liverpool's EPL games have had a 1st half goal
Whilst there is a concern that this game is effectively a dead rubber, the stats speak for themselves and there is a real shot for both teams to score early.
Whilst the game may be meaningless on paper will either set of players want to lose to a rival. For City players they'll want to get an early warning in for next season's title race, whilst the Liverpool XI will want to demonstrate just why they've won the league.
