Saturday’s early kick-off has huge ramifications at the bottom of the table. If Brighton win, they’ll count themselves as good as safe, while a Norwich win will miraculously take them to within four points of safety – showing just how poor some of the sides down there have been.
Since the restart, Brighton have been by some distance the best of the strugglers. Four points from their games against Arsenal, Leicester and Man Utd is a very good return, and Graham Potter will be fully aware that this game is their big chance to put an end to their relegation fears for good.
As for the Canaries, they’ve lost all four of their games since returning—including home defeats to Southampton and Everton, providing further evidence of their diminished ‘home advantage’ due to no crowds—while they’ve not so much as scored a league goal post-lockdown.
At +125, we see Brighton as good value to win this. They have more momentum than Norwich, an extra day of rest and better players, which is why I’m happy to back them on Saturday.
Not only do Norwich have the worst defence in the league, but they’ve also scored the fewest goals (just 25), and that’s a bad sign when you consider Brighton’s defence is by some distance the best of all the teams down there in the relegation battle.
The Seagulls to take a huge step towards safety, and in turn twisting the knife on Norwich, is the most likely outcome this Saturday.

As a bit more of a longshot, we are backing Shane Duffy to score at any time, priced at +850.
With Adam Webster still likely to be sidelined, Duffy will continue his centre-back partnership with Lewis Dunk, and the big Irishman is always a goal threat from set-pieces.
Duffy scored against Norwich back in November, and The Canaries have conceded goals from Michael Keane and Harry Maguire in recent weeks.
While playing time has been hard to come by this season, Duffy last season (where he was a regular in the side) scored five times in the Premier League, and he’ll fancy his luck on Saturday against such a leaky Norwich outfit.
The Canaries have conceded 13 times from set-pieces this season, and with Duffy in their side, Brighton will be especially threatening in these scenarios.
