Premier League Predictions: Wednesday Parlay
There are 4 Premier League games for us this Wednesday, so here are our picks for every single game. Bet them individually or make them into a tasty parlay.
4 Team Parlay - $50 stake would return $6339
Draw/Man City (HT/FT) @ +330
- Newcastle haven't lost in their last 6 Premier League games
- Man City have won 10 of their previous 11 home games against Newcastle
Man City's loss to Southampton on Sunday was a huge shock. Last season's champions had battered Liverpool the game before and outplayed Southampton on the day but just couldn’t find the back of the net.
Today they meet a Newcastle team who are finally getting the praise they deserve. I fully expect City to win however, but there is very little value on the betting markets. The best bet for me is City to win at fulltime, having been tied at the half. Given Newcastle’s recent performances there is probably more chance of this than the +330 price suggests, but it’s certainly not one to put a huge stake on.
West Ham vs. Burnley Predictions - 1:00pm ET - Bet with FanDuel
Both Teams To Score @ -118
- West Ham have conceded 2+ goals in 9 of their last 11 Premier League games
West Ham have averaged over a goal scored per game since the restart, only drawing blanks to Wolves and Spurs, both teams better at the back than Burnley. Burnley have managed to score in their last 3 and will fancy their chances against David Moyes’ boys today.
Sheffield United vs. Wolves Predictions - 1:00pm ET - Bet with FanDuel
Wolves to win and under 2.5 goals @ +280
- Wolves have won their last 3 league games on the road
- Wolves last 5 games have been under 2.5 goals
Wolves have been one of the best stories in the Premier League this year, building on a great season previously. Today they travel to another of the league’s best feel-good stories Sheffield United.
Sheffield United have spent much of the season engaged in some low scoring games, but after being smashed by Newcastle and Manchester United, and then in turn spanking Jose Mourinho’s Spurs, they’ve altered the narrative. I don’t think they’ll score many today though.
Wolves have been resolute at the back all season, with Conor Coady perhaps deserving of national recognition. Wolves attack is lethal and should manage to net against the Blades. This game reeks of a 1-0 (+500) or 2-0 (+900) win, but I’m happy to just back Wolves to win and under 25 goals at such a big price.
Draw/Liverpool (HT/FT) @ +320
- Liverpool have won their previous 7 games vs. Brighton
Another example of some value hunting when a big team is such short odds to win. There really isn’t much value on this game, but given Liverpool’s hungover display against Man City and slow start against Aston Villa, I’m taking them to only find the lead in the second half.
This could be one worth waiting to check lineups for, with the main worry being that Klopp could play some younger players. The German hasn’t shuffled his pack quite as much as many expected so far, so the omens are good that he’ll play a strong team, even with the league won.
Potter’s side have been great fun this season and perhaps haven’t gotten the praise that wider-attention would bring but today against the league’s best side they’ll be able to put on a show. I think quality should ultimately tell and I see Liverpool getting the win via a second half strike.
