Saturday
Fulham vs. Arsenal predictions - 7:30am ET
1u - Arsenal to score in both halves @ +145
- Arsenal have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 games against Fulham in all competitions
Arsenal ended the 19/20 season in incredible form. Mikel Arteta looks to be building something promising in North London and supporters are more excited than they've been in recent years. It also looks increasingly likely that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will sign a new contract, which will only boost morale even more.
Fulham came up through the playoffs last year having finished fourth in the Championship, they haven't made many signings thus far, in stark contrast to their last, failed season in the Premier League. That lack of quality, in addition to Arsenal's fire power and sky high confidence is only going to see this game end in one way, with an Arsenal win. Back the Arsenal to score in both halves for a nice price.
Liverpool vs. Leeds predictions - 12:30pm ET
1u - Leeds +2 @ -110
- Leeds gave away a league leading low of 35 goals in the Championship last season
Leeds United are finally back in the Premier League. It's been so long that even their rivals are probably glad to have them back now. This is one of the opening day's most exciting games and it's a huge tragedy, albeit an understandable one, that the Elland Road faithful won't be allowed in to watch the game.
Leeds had the best defensive record in the Premier League last year and that's going to serve them well here. Their high pressing game will restrict Liverpool's opportunities and should keep this game close. I'm not saying Leeds will win, but it feels like this game could see some drama.
West Ham vs. Newcastle predictions - 3:00pm ET
1u - Newcastle to win @ +270
- Newcastle have won 3 of the previous 6 meetings between the clubs
West Ham are a shambles. Their captain Mark Noble, who climbed through the ranks at West Ham, has tweeted about his frustration with the club's actions in the transfer market, manager David Moyes is said to be unhappy with the board and there have been no major signings, besides Tomáš Souček's loan move being made permanent. There have been whispers of more trouble behind the scenes and this feels very much like a club in cival war.
If things are even half as bad as they seem then +270 on Newcastle winning could be an absolute steal, if you're feeling daring then why not take Newcastle -1 at +750.
Sunday
West Brom vs. Leicester predictions - 9:00am ET
1u - Leicester to win @ +100
- West Brom were promoted to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship last season
Leicester ended last season in freefall, blowing their chances of reaching the Premier League in the process. They start the season here with a number of injuries further weakening their squad, which hasn't really been strengthened.
Despite that they offer value at even money against West Brom who I don't believe will be capable of securing a win this week.
Tottenham vs. Everton predictions - 11:30am ET
1u - Richarlison to score @ +240
- Richarlison averaged 2.5 shots per game last season
First, it's time for a hot take. I'm expecting Everton to improve signicantly this season and I think Richarlison will be integral to that. With the signings of Rodriguez, Allan and Dacoure, it gives Everton a strong core and the Brazilian with thrive with service.
I could see Richarlison scoring 20+ goals if he stays fit this season, and he's likely to be playing largely down the middle, alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
I'm not confident in Spurs this season and could see this being another nail in the coffin of Jose Mourinho's reputation at the top table of the game. With that in mind, lets take Richarlison to start off the season with a bang and score this Sunday.
