Saturday Premier League Picks
1u - Liverpool -1 @ +170
- Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 11 Premier League games
Liverpool's surprise loss against Atalanta in the Champions League this week has helped us here. That defeat has raised more question marks about Liverpool's ability to cope with their defensive injuries. Those concerns are warranted and it's clear that they're not as strong defensively as they were. They are still deadly in front of goal though and the handicap gives us a juicy price here against a team that Liverpool beat 3-1 in July of this year.
1u - West Brom @ +163
- Sheffield United have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 road games in the league
The bottom two teams in the Premier League meet here in a game that already feels like must-win for both. It's hard to pick the two teams apart. They are the only two teams in English soccer without a win yet, and neither have been dynamic in front of goal. I'm backing the Baggies though because I have no faith in Sheffield United's ability to score. Having watched them this year they don't look as hungry as West Brom and they certainly don't have the threat of West Brom, even if the Midland team have only scored two more goals this term.
Sunday Premier League Picks
1u - Spurs @ +260
- Fulham have lost 8 of their last 10 Premier League games
A game that could define both of these manager's seasons. Chelsea have been in good form, winning 8 of their last 10 at home and scoring at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 11 at home. Despite that I'm backing Spurs here. They've won their last 4 on the road and Jose Mourinho appears to have moulding this team into his image. They haven't conceeded a goal in their last 3 games, including a game against Man City. I believe that they can hold Chelsea here and with Harry Kane in the team they carry a scoring threat. I'm still not a believer in Frank Lampard as a manager and the unbeaten run they've been on has involved a lot of lesser sides. This game has 1-0 Spurs all over it.
