Liverpool vs. Everton Expert Picks
1u – Draw/Liverpool (Halftime/Fulltime) @ +350 (Click To Bet)
If you read my preview of Liverpool's Champions League clash against RB Leipzig then you'd know that I'm not buying this narrative that Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are finished and I backed them to win that tie.
When it comes down to it I still think that this Liverpool team are top class, even though they are severly weakened currently. When it really mattered and they had their backs to the wall during the week, they found that strength and delivered a great performance against Leipzig, making an organized German team look defensively very suspect.
This is another crunch game and there's no doubt Liverpool will want to protect their incredible record against Everton in recent years. That's all the motivation that they'll need.
Everton have been great value this season and seeing the development of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who'll be fit for this game, has been one of the highlights of this season. I think that there are real signs of progress in the blue half of Liverpool but ultimately I think we're probably a season away from this team really arriving.
There's no doubt in my mind that the Toffees will overcome their jinx against Liverpool very soon but I'm not banking on it being today.
We've seen Liverpool drawing at halftime in their past 3 league games before going on to lose, likewise things were level at the half against RB Leipzig before they exploded in the second half. I have to look at recent history and back Liverpool to be drawing at halftime on Saturday. I think when it comes down to it they'll have too much fire power to be denied goals, so I'm taking Draw/Liverpool in the Halftime/Fulltime market at +350.
