Premier League Parlay

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace

Chelsea beat Villarreal 6-5 in a penalty shootout to lift the UEFA Super Cup. It was a tough season opener for the Blues, who started strong, controlling the game in the 1st half with Hakim Ziyech opening the scoring. The 2nd half was totally different with Chelsea allowing Villarreal to press high, conceding the equalizer and being forced to play extra-time and penalties.

The Blues have amazing squad depth, this being one of the reasons Thomas Tuchel has been so successful at Chelsea. They are Champions League reigning champs and going for the Premier League title this term. It looks like they have the most complete squad in the English top-flight league. Well-stocked in midfield and attacking line, Chelsea are packed with players who can play in several positions.

Let’s add Romelu Lukaku, MVP in Serie A last season, helping Inter to win the title in Italy, let’s add Jules Kounde, a priority for the Blues, Chelsea’s power is unbelievable.

On the other side we have Crystal Palace who lost Roy Hodgson as a manager after he decided to retire. They replaced him with Patrick Vieira who will look to change Palace’s playing style over the coming months. Last season, Palace were the league’s most defensive side, tough to play and create scoring chances against. Vieira wants to change that and play more aggressive transforming the 4-4-2 system in 4-3-3 with many attacking options and a high defensive line.

The gap between the 2 clubs is huge so despite entering this game on the back of a long game against Villarreal, Chelsea should easily win the 3 points. We expect a strong start from the Blues and at least 3 goals in the game.

1st Leg of Premier League Parlay: Over 2.5 goals @ -125

Norwich vs. Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s side kick-off their season on the road against the newly promoted team, Norwich. The best news for the Reds is that Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson are all back from injuries. Unfortunately, Liverpool are struggling with new injury issues. Andy Robertson suffered an ankle injury during Liverpool's friendly battle with Athletic Bilbao while Curtis Jones sustained a hip injury during the pre-season game against Osasuna.

During the summer transfer window, Liverpool signed center back Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig who will join Virgil van Dijk in the defensive line forming the best duo in the entire league. The French defender remains the club’s solitary signing of the summer with the German coach declaring he is very happy with the squad, and he is not looking to sign more players butr reports in Spain claim that The Red are likely to sign Renato Sanches from Lille.

Norwich are back in the Premier League and take on heavyweights Liverpool in the season opener. Rashica, Rupp, Hanley, Hernandez, Hugill, Mumba and Placheta have all been self-isolating following a recent Covid-19 test. The pre-season friendlies against Coventry and Sheffield United had to be cancelled due to this outbreak. Some of the players are set to return against Liverpool but their fitness is questionable.

All of their stars back, with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane eager to start scoring goals, Liverpool are expected to kick-off their Premier League campaign with a comfortable win. For the “anytime goalscorer” market, the value is on Sadio Mane who is priced at +140 with BetMGM.
