Parlay 1st Leg: Manchester City vs. Southampton: Saturday, September 18
Manchester City's Attacking Firepower
We expect goals to flow again this weekend when City host Southampton. The reigning champs are back in action after the most entertaining match of the round in the Champions League. They destroyed RB Leipzig, beating them 6-3 in their UCL season opener.
The Citizens lost their 1st EPL game of the season to Tottenham, but they immediately bounced back, scoring 11 goals in 3 games and keeping three clean sheets in the process, with the fourth win in a row being against RB Leipzig, so that's 17 goals netted in 4 games.
On the other side, Southampton is still looking for their 1st win of the season after earning just 3 points in 4 rounds. Unfortunately for them and their fans, they will have to wait one more week because there's no way they could pull off the upset and beat City. In the last 12 head-to-head matches on the road against City, they lost 11 times, managing to keep City to a 1-1 drawback in 2016.
Three of City's last four matches have produced over 4.5 goals, while four of the Saint's previous six encounters have seen over 3.5 goals scored. City will start strong and try to score a fast goal. We can see them leading from half-time and maintain the lead till the end.
The Citizens have a busy schedule with an EFL Cup next midweek, a clash against Chelsea in 10 days, and an away Champions League game in two weeks against Paris Saint-Germain. So we expect them to rest some of their key players, and we also expect them to score at least 3 goals on their own and extend their winning streak.
1st Parlay Pick: Man City HT/FT (-175)
Aston Villa vs. Everton: Saturday, September 18
High-Scoring Affair at Villa Park
Aston Villa will try to bounce back and quickly forget the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez are back from quarantine and will definitely start against Everton.
The summer transfer, Leon Bailey, will probably make his 1st start and play against his former Leverkusen teammate Demarai Gray who's enjoying a great season with Everton being one of the standout performers so far. Last week it was the first time Aston Villa failed to find the back of the net, but they had many scoring opportunities against Chelsea, with defender Ezri Konsa being great on aerial balls.
On the other side, Everton is unbeaten so far, winning three of their last four games being equal on points with United, Chelsea, and Liverpool but sitting fourth on goals difference. Last week they had a poor 1st half against Burnley, but a goal from Ben Mee woke them up in the 2nd half before scoring three goals in six minutes.
Rafael Benitez's revival continues at Everton, but they still enter as underdogs against Villa, priced at +210 at Unibet. Calvert-Lewin, who missed the home fixture against Burnley, is expected to miss on Saturday with a toe injury. Still, they have many players able to find the back of the net, starting with Demarai Gray, who's eager to add another goal to his name.
Ten of their last fifteen matches between the two clubs have registered over 2.5 goals. At the same time, we saw both teams scoring in 16 of the previous 22. The two teams carry plenty of goal threats and should have no trouble scoring against each other. Our second play for this weekend parlay is for both teams to score in the match. You can also play over 2.5 goals at +100 with Bet365 as a single bet.
2nd Parlay Pick: Both teams to score (-135)
