Manchester United vs. Liverpool Prediction and Picks: Expecting Elite Scoring

When: Sunday, October 24, 11:30 a.m. ET

Where: Old Trafford, Manchester

Man U vs. Liverpool Odds

The highest-scoring team in the Premier League, Liverpool, travels to play Man United in the most exciting game of the weekend in the top 5 European leagues.

Manchester United vs. Liverpool Prediction

Man United: No Consistency

Ole Our or Ole In? According to the club, the Red Devils are fully behind their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and will not be swayed by the #OleOut campaign on social media. But the pressure keep may keep rising, and the next period is very tough for United and their manager.

Home with Liverpool, away against Tottenham, away against Atalanta (Champions League), home with Man City. Four massive games in 14 days. How many points will they win from their three Premier League games, and if they lose all three, will the club stand by their manager. Time will tell.

The Premier League is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, and consistency is key. Man United is not there yet, and let's not forget that their objective is to win the title, which seems impossible at the given moment. They are sitting 6th in the EPL standings with 14 points earned in 8 games, 5 points behind leaders Chelsea, and 3 points behind their Sunday's opponents Liverpool.

After a great start to their domestic season with four wins in their five opening games, Man United started to struggle, and they enter this clash on the back of three winless Premier League games, two defeats to Leicester and Aston Villa and one draw against Everton.

United paid Borussia Dortmund a transfer fee of $100 million for the 21-year-old Jadon Sancho. Guess how many times we've seen him for the entire game? That's right, zero. He played between 16 and 70 minutes, many times coming from the bench in the last 20 minutes. Also, keeping Fred and Scott McTominay in the midfield in every single match is wrong as they are not helping the attack or the defense. They don't have the correct pace for a team like Man United. But we are not managers, so maybe this is the correct plan.

Still, Man United has one of the best attacking lines in the Premier League. This is a very important match for Cristiano Ronaldo and Company, so we expect them to deliver. Not to win the game but at least to find the back of the net.

Liverpool: Firepower

Liverpool's attacking firepower is out of this world. Them and Bayern Munich can score whenever they want. They have robots, not strikers. Mo Salah is the most in-form player in Premier League. He scored 12 goals and offered 4 assists in 11 games (Premier League and Champions League) while his teammate Sadio Mane netted 6. Incredible numbers for an incredible duo. They are deadly, and exactly what we said earlier, they can score whenever they feel like doing it.

The Reds are the only unbeaten team in the English top-flight league, and they also have the best attack with 22 goals scored in 8 games. Thiago Alcantara is expected to remain out of contention alongside Harvey Elliott. Firmino is set to take Diogo Jota's place again, and he might also contribute on the scoreboard. His last 10 Premier League goals have all come away from home.

Liverpool's EPL record against Man United is really good. They are unbeaten in their previous five head-to-heads, winning two games in the process. Everybody and their dog are on Liverpool this weekend, but what's the best value bet?

Manchester United vs. Liverpool Betting Picks and Props

Obviously, we all expect a high-scoring affair, and the teams are fully fit with world-attacking players. Not only Champions League nights are created for Cristiano Ronaldo but also these types of games. He can easily score in this one because he will definitely bring his A-game.

The Reds' goalscoring exploits away from home are out of this world, but their defense is far from being rock-solid. Nevertheless, we have all the ingredients for a high-scoring affair, with both teams having enough to contribute on the scoreboard.
