West Ham vs. Tottenham Prediction

West Ham: Big Game for the Hammers

West Ham’s mixed match-to-match results see them sitting 7th in the Premier League standings with 14 points earned in 8 games, but the gap between them and the top 4 is very small, just 1 point. Also, 1 point separates them from their Sunday opponents, but West Ham performs way better in the final third.

They enter the London Derby on the back of two wins in a row across all competitions. They managed to beat in-form Everton last weekend on the road and keep a clean sheet, winning the 3 points in Europa League against Genk. They are running the show in UEL leading Group H standings with maximum points in 3 games and 0 goals conceded in the process.

Since they started their Europa League campaign, they have struggled to win back-to-back matches in EPL, but this time David Moyes rested some of his key players for their midweek Europa League win over the Belgian side Genk.

The vital three points at Everton the Hammers are expected to put on a good fight and beat Spurs at home. Surprisingly they are performing better on the road this season. They dropped points in three of their four home games, losing two in the process, and their head-to-head record against Tottenham on home soil is very poor. They lost four of their last five home mutual encounters.

Michail Antonio should return in the starting XI on Sunday after being rested in the midweek, and we all expect him to start scoring again after failing to do so in his last two EPL games. Unfortunately, the Hammers might be without Czech duo Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal, both doubtful for this game, while Mark Noble and Ryan Fredericks will be assessed on Saturday.

Tottenham: Kane Back on the Scoresheet

After netting one goal in the EFL Cup against Wolves and three against Mura in the Conference League, Harry Kane has finally scored his first goal of the season in the top-flight league. However, his future at Tottenham is still under serious questioning.

Despite sitting 5th in the standings, Tottenham has the second-worst attack in the top 9 with just 9 goals scored, with 5 of them being scored in the last two wins against Aston Villa and Newcastle. That means they scored just 4 goals in their opening six EPL games. Very poor for a side with great objectives and expectations.

They also have European commitments playing in the Conference League. They lost their midweek match away at Vitesse but let’s give them credit because Nuno Espirito Santo rested his entire starting XI. So they should be fully fit and ready to extend their two wins run.

Cristian Romero has finally clicked at the back, beginning to form a solid partnership with Eric Dier. Heung-Min Son is once again the player to watch. He’s the Spurs’ most prolific player with 4 goals scored and 2 assists in seven games as he missed one game while injured.

West Ham vs. Tottenham Betting Picks and Props

We’ve seen at least 3 goals on the scoreboard, with both teams scoring in three of their previous four head-to-heads. Both teams are in excellent scoring form, so we expect the trend to continue Sunday.

If you want to play the 3-way Money Line, much will depend on how the Hammers recover from the Genk clash and their injury issues, as both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal are vital for them. Spurs have a great chance to make it three wins in a row, and they are priced at +200 with Bet365.

If you like your props, then you should check the odds for the ‘anytime goalscorer market. Michail Antonio should be back with a goal, and he’s priced at +175, while Heung-Min Son is priced at +225 to contribute on the scoreboard. We expect an entertaining game, so we are going with over 2.5 goals.
