Premier League Round 17 Parlay at +222

Manchester United have stepped things up under Ralf Rangnick in recent weeks and we expect them to make it three in a row on Tuesday when they travel to play Brentford.

Brentford vs. Man United - Tuesday, December 14 - 2:30 PM ET

Brentford vs Man United Odds

Two short wins in a row for the father of gegenpressing, Ralf Rangnick. Is that enough? He will definitely not be able to remake the teams and change the playing style overnight, but you can easily spot the differences. First of all, United look to be more proactive defensively, they are showing signs of being tougher to break down and second of all the high pressing against Crystal Palace is one of Rangnick’s trademarks.

United will be keen to maintain their winning streak under their new manager. They took advantage of West Ham’s goalless draw against Burnley closing the gap on the to just 1 point. West Ham will travel to play Arsenal on Wednesday and with a win over Brentford, United might finish this round fourth in the standings.

The Red Devils have a favorable schedule, taking on Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Burnley before the end of the year. They are the better team on paper but if they won’t bring their A game, they might drop points against an energetic Brentford. They are unbeaten in 32 of their last 34 away Premier League matches so they are playing better on the road.

On the other side, Brentford have won their previous two home games, 1-0 against Everton and 2-1 against Watford. They are playing a positive football and they are creating many scoring opportunities having a great pace going forward. We expect them to find the back of the net but with United’s recent record the ‘both teams to score’ market seems a bit tricky, so we will skip it.

Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani are both due to return to full training and might come from the bench. Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are both ruled out while Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are doubtful. On the other side, the hosts will be without Mathias Jorgensen, Kristoffer Ajer, David Raya, Tariqe Fosu-Henry, Josh Dasilva, Julian Jeanvier and Ethan Pinnock, all injured.

Norwich vs. Aston Villa - Tuesday, December 14 - 2:45 PM ET

Norwich vs Aston Villa Odds

Aston Villa have won three of their five games under Steven Gerrard, only losing to Manchester City and Liverpool, both of them short defeats. They will now travel to play Norwich who have improved under their new manager and former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith. Imagine how good he knows the team he used to manage.

Aston Villa are in 13th place in the Premier League standings but the wins against Brighton, Crystal Palace, and Leicester suggest that they can do better than that. On the other side, the Canaries lost 10 of their previous 16 Premier League fixtures having the worst attack in the league with just eight goals scored in 16 games. At the same time, they have the second-worst defense in the league with 32 goals conceded this season. They are scoreless in their previous two games, but they created many goal-attempts against the Red Devils last weekend with David de Gea being the best player for United.

Norwich City have lost six of their last seven Premier League mutual encounters against Aston Villa. Aston Villa have managed to keep only one clean sheet in their last 14 away games in the Premier League. Villa’s striker Danny Ings love playing against Norwich. He scored in all three of his Premier League games against them and he is priced at +210 with DraftKings to contribute on the scoresheet.

Reports have claimed that Aston Villa has been hit with a covid-19 outbreak but only one player is said to have tested positive, but the visitors should have enough to return home with at least one point. We are playing this one safe even if the odds are not that attractive, but still valuable for a parlay piece.
