After winning two games in a row one month ago against Brentford and Southampton, Norwich will spend Christmas day sitting bottom of the league after dropping 13 points in their previous five games, losing three and failing to find the back of the net in four of them.
They have the worst attack in the EPL, with just eight goals scored in 17 games and the fewest chances created per expected goals (xG). It's clear that they struggle in the final third, having no weapons at their disposal to attack and score. So what can Dean Smith do? Aston Villa sacked him after five consecutive defeats, and you appoint him to save your club from being relegated? That's terrible management. We don't doubt his coaching qualities but to bring a manager with bad results a few weeks after being sacked by another club? Maybe we don't understand how things work, but that's not something a Premier League club would do.
On the other side, Arsenal has won three Premier League games in a row and sits four points deep into the top four. On top of that, they enter this game on the back of a 5-1 EFL Cup win against Sunderland, with Edward Nketiah scoring a hat-trick. So this is the perfect opportunity for Arsenal to arrest the defensive struggles they've been experiencing away from home. They've allowed 17 goals on the road, but they've conceded a league-high of 2.09 expected goals against.
On the other side, Norwich has scored just five goals in nine home games, losing six of them. Arsenal's "dream-teen" is on fire. They are fast, create many chances, and easily find gaps in the opposition's defense. Mikel Arteta is looking to build his side around a core group of young players, but a big part of the fans still wants him out. We expect a clear away win, so this pick should be a free hit.

Are the Red Devils still playing in the Premier League? Yes, they are, but two of their games got postponed (Brentford and Brighton) because several positive coronavirus cases were recorded within the squad and coaching staff. However, they are back in action this weekend for their Boxing Day clash against the mighty Newcastle, the wealthiest team in the top-flight league.
Under Ralf Rangnick, Man United is playing really well, mainly at the back. They kept two consecutive clean sheets, but there's plenty to improve as they are still conceding more than 1.0 xGA. Only once in the last 11 domestic campaigns, they've allowed more goals at this point of the season. We don't have anything to worry about in the final third, where they possess excellent attacking firepower.
Newcastle is equal on points with bottom-placed Norwich, but they have a better goal difference. Still, they have the worst defense in the league, with 41 goals conceded in 18 games. So we expect them to spend big in the winter transfer market and create a competitive team. Otherwise, they will definitely go down, and we know how difficult it is to win a promotion in the Premier League coming from the Championship.
United's training center re-opened on Tuesday morning ahead of their festive period games with reports saying that all the players returned to training. Meanwhile, Ralf Rangnick has made a new addition to his staff, bringing Ewan Sharp as an assistant coach/analyst for the Reds.
The difference in quality between the two sides is significant, and we expect a straight away win. The Red Devils are unbeaten since Rangnick took charge, winning three in a row, and they should have enough to make it four. The price for an away win has no value, but the -1 should be a free hit.
