Premier League Parlay Picks: Manchester City Eager to Make it 10 Wins in a Row
After one of the most entertaining Boxing Day rounds in Premier League history, the clubs are back in action less than 48 hours since their previous games. It’s time for our parlay of the round so let’s get that cash.
Chelsea vs. Brighton Prediction
After two draws in a row, the Blues returned to winning ways on Boxing Day coming back from one goal down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 with Jorginho scoring two penalties and Romelu Lukaku who came from the bench in the second half also contributing to the scoresheet and ending his Premier League goal drought. He netted nine goals in 10 Premier League encounters against Aston Villa, and he hasn't scored more against any other opponent in the European top-five leagues in his career.
Jorginho is the first EPL player to score 10 penalties in a single calendar year. He's only gone and done it with a 100% success rate as well. Chelsea are bringing many balls inside the opposition’s box and we always expect them to win a penalty, mostly now with the VAR being part of the game, so why not take advantage of that and bet Jorginho to be anytime goalscorer as he’s always taking the penalties.
It will be very hard for Chelsea to win the title. Manchester City and Liverpool do not look like they will drop many points this season, so this is a crucial match for the hosts. Unfortunately, Thomas Tuchel confirmed after the game that the number of players in the treatment room has increased. N’Golo Kante was substituted off for Mateo Kovacic in the 63rd minute of the game, being in a lot of pain from the knee injury he suffered against Juventus in the Champions League while Thiago Silva got replaced in the second half because of a hamstring injury.
On the other side, Brighton won their last match 2-0 at home against Brentford recording their first win in twelve matches. They are the kings of draw games after recording five draws in their previous eight games. They failed to find the back of the net in their last six away mutual encounters against Chelsea.
It's difficult to see anything other than a home win but where's the value? Brighton are a tough nut to crack and we don’t see a high-scoring affair. That’s why we will combine the host win with under 3.5 goals in the match.
Chelsea vs. Brighton Pick
- 1st Leg of the Parlay: Chelsea ML and Under 3.5 goals (+105)
Brentford vs. Manchester City Prediction
Brentford vs. Machester City odds
The Citizens are on fire, and it looks like nobody can stop them. They won nine Premier League games in a row, and we don’t expect Brentford to stop them from making it 10 wins in a row. On top of that eight of their last nine wins came from half-time as they are always trying to solve their games in the first half and rest some of their key players in the second half, mostly during this crazy period with games every two or three days.
Kyle Walker and Rodri missed the clash against Leicester, and Guardiola may choose to rest them again and have them fully fit for the New Year's Day clash with an in-form Arsenal. Still, there’s plenty of quality in the team to comfortably beat Brentford on Wednesday. The Citizens scored 21 goals in their previous five EPL wins, and we don’t expect them to stop here. On top of the parlay pick for this match, we will also add Man City to score over 2.5 goals on their own, priced at -120 with Unibet.
Phil Foden and Jack Grealish were left out of the Man City starting XI against Newcastle United after being pictured on a night out with Foden playing in the last 20 minutes of the game. We expect them back in the starting lineup with Gabriel Jesus ready for a recall amid the packed schedule. The price for a HT/FT win is not very attractive as a single bet but we love it in our parlay.
Brentford vs. Manchester City Pick
- 2nd Leg of the Parlay: Man City to win HT/FT (-164)
Premier League Parlay Pick
2-Leg Parlay @ +130
- 1st Leg of the Parlay: Chelsea ML and Under 3.5 goals (+105)
- 2nd Leg of the Parlay: Man City to win HT/FT (-164)
