RB Leipzig vs. Real Sociedad

RB Leipzig vs. Real Sociedad odds

Let’s forget about RB Leipzig’s first half of the season. It was their worst start since their 2016 promotion when they took the league by storm with their high-intensity, counterattacking football. Unfortunately, Jesse Marsch’s success from Salzburg didn't follow him across the border to Germany. He was sacked in December 2021, which was the best decision given the lack of results, inconsistent performances, cohesion, and stability as a group.

Under their new manager, Domenico Tedesco, RB Leipzig are back in business. They kicked off the year in style winning five of their last six matches across all competitions with their only defeat coming against Bundesliga’s leaders Bayern Munich. They are back in the hunt for a top-four finish, their most important players are in top form, and we fancy them to qualify further in the competitions and why not, to have a deep run.

Top scorer Christopher Nkunku is on fire, scoring goals with ease and regularity, Dani Olmo and Yussuf Poulsen are back from injury and Andre Silva loves the new 3-4-2-1 system that Tedesco implemented, improving significantly since the German-Italian manager took over.

Leipzig takes on Real Sociedad who are also in good form in La Liga sitting just one point behind the Champions League spots. The Spanish side has a great attacking line with Alexander Isak and Mikel Oyarzabal leading it, but they struggle to score goals. They have the worst attack in La Liga’s top 14 with just 24 goals scored in 23 games. We are going with the hosts to win the first leg on home soil.

Europa League Parlay

Barcelona vs. Napoli

Barcelona vs Napoli odds

Nope, this is not a Champions League match. Barcelona has been knocked out of the Champions League after the group stage and this was the first time in 21 years that the five-time Champions League winners failed to make it into the knockout stage. On the other side, Napoli came second in their Europa League group earning 10 points in six games and scoring 15 goals in the process.

Barcelona was very busy in the January transfer window with the likes of Ferran Torres, Adama Traore, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signing with the Catalan giants. Xavi’s arrival has pumped a breath of fresh air into the team. He has managed to win 70% of the possible points. During his short reign, many young players such as Gavi and Nico Gonzalez rose into the province. It’s not been pretty to watch but Barcelona looks better and better and next season they will surely be title contenders and a good Champions League side.

On the other side, Napoli is in the middle of an intense fight for the Scudetto in the Italian Serie A with three teams being separated by just two points at the top of the table. They enter this clash in fine form being unbeaten in their last six domestic league games, winning four in the process.

We expect a goal-fest between two attacking teams so we’re taking the over 2.5 goals for our first pick of the parlay.

  • 1st Pick of the Parlay: Over 2.5 goals at -139 with Bet365

FC Porto vs. Lazio

FC Porto vs Lazio odds

Porto failed to make it five consecutive qualifications in Champions League knock-out stages, ending up with just five points in a difficult group with Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan. They are in a stunning domestic form, sitting six points clear at the top of the table.

Since their defeat to Atletico Madrid in the final Champions League game, they are unbeaten in 12 games, winning 11 and scoring 33 goals in the process. They will be looking to transmit their dominant form in Portugal to the Europa League. They’ve lost each of their last two home matches in the knockout rounds of the Europa League, once against Borussia Dortmund and the other against Bayer Leverkusen.

On the other side, Lazio is one of the best Italian sides, but they must improve their road form if they want to advance in this competition. Having picked up nine points from six games, Lazio finished runners-up in Group E of the Europa League, three points adrift of first-place Galatasaray. Their best defender Francesco Acerbi is out with injury.

For the hosts, Mehdi Taremi has shown he can step into the shoes of top scorer Luis Diaz, who moved to Liverpool and will be the one to watch on Thursday. On the other side, Ciro Immobile is the most consistent Italian striker and we expect him to find the back of the net. For this clash, we have a parlay bet but also a single bet.

Parlay at +229 (Bet $100 to win $229)

  • 1st Pick of the Parlay: Over 2.5 goals at -139 with Bet365
  • 2nd Pick of the Parlay: Over 2.5 goals at -110 with Bet365
