Arsenal: Hot and full of confidence

Starting off with Leeds on Sunday, Arsenal could face a situation where they head to Tottenham for the North London Derby knowing that the three points could seal their Champions League spot for the next season. This is the youngest team in the entire top-flight league, one that includes many players having their first-ever taste of the Premier League.

Arsenal has endured some of the worst forms of their recent history under Mikel Arteta, who just signed a new deal with the club until 2025. But this season looks different. Trust the process, we’ll get it right… The phrase has been something of a mantra for Arsenal during the Spaniard’s reign. He took out most of the old players in the teams bringing six young talents including the likes of Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale.

The Gunners’ keeper was the subject of many memes and ironies when he first signed with the team but he proved his quality becoming one of the best keepers in the Premier League. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has integrated several young talents into the first team looking for the best options amid the club's current injury issues.

Arsenal is currently without Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney, with the latter being ruled out for the season after requiring surgery on his knee. Takehiro Tomiyasu returned to the starting lineup last weekend in the 2-1 away win against West Ham and will definitely start against Leeds as he’s a very important piece of the puzzle.

The Gunners might even leapfrog Chelsea in the standings and finish third as they’re sitting just three points behind them. They enter this clash on the back of three wins in a row in which they scored nine goals. They are the third-best home team in the league winning 11 in their 17 games in front of their fans, losing just four games in the process. They are unbeaten in their last five head-to-heads across all competitions against Leeds winning four in the process including a 4-1 victory in the reverse fixture.

Leeds: Fighting for Premier League survival

Former RB Leipzig boss, Jesse Marsch has managed to stop Leeds from allowing so many goals as they look more solid under the American coach. Of course, he has been helped by the return of Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper. They were unbeaten in the last five winning three in the process but they got trashed by Man City last weekend leaving them 17th in the standings, just two points above the drop zone. They are not safe and they have a very difficult schedule with games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton, and Brentford. On top of that, the first team behind them in the standings, Everton has a game in hand on them.

Stuart Dallas facing a lengthy period on the sidelines due to the femoral fracture which he sustained at the end of the first half against Man City is a huge blow for the visitors. On top of that, Leeds will also be without Adam Forshaw, Crysencio Summerville, Liam Cooper, Tyler Roberts, and Patrick Bamford.

Arsenal vs. Leeds Predication

Arsenal has not been very good at the back lately conceding at least once in each of their last seven EPL fixtures. Given their defensive line injury crisis we expect them to maintain the trend and concede. The stats indicate a win to nil but we’re not big fans of that specific market. A win for Leeds can extend the gap between themselves and Everton to five points, while the Toffees take a trip to Leicester. So you can imagine how determined both teams are to win this game. We expect an entertaining game with Arsenal coming up on top but with at least three goals on the scoresheet.
