Man City: Must-Win

Manchester City has been knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid after conceding two goals in the final minutes of the game. With Man City, Guardiola has won the Premier League, the League Cup, and the FA Community Shield, but he failed to win the most important European competition, the Champions League.

Man City fought back from being two goals down at half-time to secure a crucial point against West Ham last weekend at the London Stadium. City’s defense rarely looked shakier this season. They were very lucky not to concede at least one more goal but they also failed to score from the penalty spot with Lukasz Fabianski saving Riyad Mahrez’s penalty.

The draw means the Citizens may need to win against Aston Villa to guarantee themselves the Premier League title on Sunday in front of their fans. The biggest concern ahead of the Aston Villa game is whether Pep Guardiola can get that defense solid enough.

Pep Guardiola and his players know destiny lies totally in their own hands and it would be stupid for them to focus on Liverpool’s result against Wolves. Their attacking firepower is at another level. They scored at least twice in each of their last Premier League fixtures.

Kyle Walker and John Stones both returned to team training earlier this week but we don’t expect them to be fully fit till Sunday. Guardiola will also be without Ruben Dias for the final round of the season. Pep Guardiola's side made a head start on the rest of their rivals this summer by announcing they have agreed to a deal to sign Erling Haaland from Dortmund before the window has even opened. Guardiola is expected to make at least two more changes for the next season and finally win the Champions League trophy.

Aston Villa: Nothing To Play For

Liverpool is cheering for Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho more than you will ever know. Aston Villa’s coach is the only player in Reds' history to feature in the club's all-time top five for both appearances and goals. Of course, he will try to help his former club. Unfortunately, he’s not playing and his squad has nothing to fight for. On top of that, they have a poor head-to-head record against the Citizens losing 11 of their previous 12 mutual encounters.

Villa failed to keep a clean sheet in their previous four fixtures and has lost each of their last 11 league games on Man City's turf. Gerrard is trying to build something at Villa. We can’t wait to see what Aston Villa will look like next season and if they will bring any new players in the summer transfer window. Villa will be without the services of Leon Bailey, Ezri Konsa, and Kortney Hause for this clash.

Man City vs. Aston Villa Prediction

After a disappointing European campaign, Man City will be desperate to finish the season in style and win the domestic title on the final day in front of their fans. They are by far the better team between the two sides, they will enter this game full of confidence and with great morale and we expect them to destroy Aston Villa. Villa realistically has nothing to play for but pride.

There are many betting markets we love for this clash but you should bet more than one unit on each selection. City will enter this clash all guns blazing so we expect them to score a fast goal. We also expect them to score at least three on their own and win by at least two goals margin.

He knows everything about the top 5 European leagues, Champions League and Europa League and he is well known for his “trade-mark” “Alex Classic” bet (both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the match). He’s very disciplined, follows a strict set of rules, and has great bankroll management. He’s our European soccer specialist and he's having an average of 55 units of profit in the last 7 years with his soccer picks. He’s all about positive energy, respect, and long-term profit and if you ever hear “Alex’s last-minute goal” that means he did it again winning a bet in the last minute of the game, so never lose hope.
