After enjoying an impressive pre-season over the summer, the Gunners kicked off the new campaign with a 2-0 victory away to Crystal Palace. They made it two wins in a row beating Leicester 4-2 and it looks like they are on the right track. Last week we took them to score at least two goals on their own, and we will do it again.

The club deserves credit for backing Mikel Arteta and for ‘trusting the process.' Their summer signings, mainly Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, both coming from the reigning champs Man City, have impressed. At the same time, French centre-back William Saliba, despite scoring an own goal against Leicester, is a great talent and will enjoy a great season with his new club.

It was only the seventh time that Arsenal kicked off the season with two consecutive victories and that’s why we were a bit scared of backing them to win. Their amazing attacking firepower will win many games during this season. Gabriel Jesus has never lost a Premier League game in which he has scored. That’s huge and we expect him to extend his brilliant run of form and find the back of the net on Saturday against the newly promoted Bournemouth.

On the other side, the Cherries returned to the Premier League action with a surprise 2-0 win against Aston Villa but they got trashed last weekend by Man City, losing 4-0 and recording just one shot on target. Bournemouth is winless across their last five mutual encounters with Arsenal and we expect this run to continue.

We’re still not ready to back Arsenal but we expect them to score at least two goals on their own. The Gunners have scored two or more goals in seven of their last nine Premier League matches and should have enough to do it again.

Leicester vs. Southampton Prediction

We took Southampton in Week 1 to lose against Spurs, we took the over 2.5 goals last weekend when they played against Leeds and we’re taking them again this week. With just one point picked up in their first two games of the season, both Leicester and Southampton will be looking to register their first victory of the domestic campaign.

The hosts have been struggling at the back of late, but, on the other hand, they look sharp in front of goal. We love their attacking-minded approach and we expect them to offer us another high-scoring affair on Saturday against the Saints. Harvey Barnes, Ryan Bertrand, and Ricardo Pereira are still out with injuries but the Foxes have enough attacking firepower to score. They destroyed Southampton 4-1 at this venue in the last game of the season but also scored twice on the road when the two sides faced each other back in December 2021.

On the other side, Southampton is winless in their previous eight Premier League road games losing five in the process and allowing at least two goals on six occasions. Leicester is another animal when playing in front of their fans and despite their injury issues, we expect them to score at least two goals on their own.
