Arsenal vs. Tottenham Prediction

Arsenal: Surprising leaders

Arsenal leads the all-time Football League head-to-head record in this fixture, with 68 wins to Tottenham’s 55 but that’s just history. But the Gunners are also leading the EPL standings this season with 18 points picked up in seven fixtures.

Mikel Arteta strengthened his squad significantly over the summer, bringing in the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko with the former being doubtful for this clash, which is a huge blow for the hosts. Arsenal has had a superb start, losing just one game against Manchester United, and they are showing to be a really good team.

Gabriel Jesus has made an impressive start at his new club. With four goals and three assists to his name, he became Arsenal’s most important player. He is probably the smartest summer move in the Premier League. This Arsenal team is still a work in progress but they have a great squad at their disposal, fully packed with young and talented players.

We are impressed with the defensive solidity, their pace, and creativity and we expect them to show their power once again against Tottenham. At home, they won three games in a row scoring eight goals in the process but they conceded in each fixture. They will be without Mohamed Elneny, Emile Smith Rowe, and Cedric Soares. Martin Odegaard battled back from a knock to feature for Norway in the international break so we will definitely see him in the starting lineup on Saturday.

Tottenham: Unbeaten this season

Unbeaten Spurs sits in third place in the table, one point behind leaders Arsenal and equal on points with reigning champs Man City. The visitors do not have a good record in this fixture with their last away win against Arsenal in the domestic league coming in 2010, their only league success at the Emirates stadium but they found the back of the net in each of their last 10 matches against Arsenal across all competitions.

Harry Kane is the highest-scoring player in the North London derby with the Spurs and England captain scoring 13 goals against the Gunners, so if you love your props you should back him again. Dejan Kulusesvki is out with a hamstring injury so we’re expecting Conte to use the trio Ken, Richarlison, and Son in the attacking line.

Ben Davies suffered a knock to his knee in the Champions League defeat to Sporting Lisbon and missed the international break, so Clement Lenglet is expected to replace him in the starting lineup. Ivan Perisic had been a doubt for Croatia’s Nations League clash with Austria after being forced off in a win over Denmark last week but he is fully fit and ready to play against the Gunners.

Arsenal vs. Tottenham Betting Picks

The Gunners have scored in all eight of their competitive matches this term and we expect them to extend their brilliant run of form on Saturday. On the other side, Spurs have the second attack in the league with 18 goals netted in seven games.

The games between the two sides are generally high-scoring affairs and Saturday’s clash shouldn’t be different. Both teams are amazing going forward, they have a great pace and creativity so we’re backing the overs.
