Will Bayern continue their domestic dominance? Soccer expert Ryan Elliott has two picks for their trip to Leverkusen.
ANALYSIS

Best Pick: 1u - Bayern & Under 4.5 Goals @ +115

This one is pretty mouthwatering. It’s clear that Bayern have probably won the Bundesliga after a long run of dominance under Hansi Flick, but the battle for the top four is very much alive for Leverkusen, who will be going out to play without fear against their dominant opponents.

Peter Bosz has got his side playing some brilliant football, and they won’t go into their shell against Bayern, which should hopefully lead to a good spectacle of football.

However, Bayern showed against Dortmund that they’re more than happy weathering whatever storm their opponents throw at them, before doing what they do best and showing a clinical edge that puts them above their competitors.

Of course, we know about Bayern’s goalscoring capabilities, but Manuel Neuer has kept three clean sheets in his last four games, and this added solidity has been a real bonus for Flick, who knows his side are more than capable of defending even the most narrow leads – like against Dortmund.

Against their fellow competitors towards the top of the table, Bayern aren’t quite as swashbuckling as against the more lowly outfits, and I can see Flick deploying a slightly more pragmatic approach on Saturday as Bosz will want his side on the ball and creating the forcing the initiative early on.

For this reason, I’m backing Bayern to win and under 4.5 goals to be scored, priced at +115.

None of Bayern’s games with top-five opposition this season have seen over four goals scored, and not a single one of the last 17 meetings in the league between these two have ended with over four goals scored.

Leverkusen are a very good side and I’m confident this will be closer than some think, but Bayern’s quality to tell in a tight encounter looks a bet.

1u - Benjamin Pavard to score anytime @ +950

Finally, at a massive +950, I’m having a little nibble at Benjamin Pavard to score at any time.

The Frenchman has scored four goals this season, but two have come in the last four games, and he’s clearly gaining confidence from set-pieces.

+950 is far too big for this one, and therefore it’s worth a look.
