Handicapper JT Miller is back with another 2022 World Cup bet and this time it's between Canada vs. Belgium. Come get his Canada vs Belgium prediction, pick, and odds.
ANALYSIS

Well, we have already seen some ridiculous results here in the first few days of the World Cup. Argentina was knocked off by Saudi Arabia yesterday thanks to some wonderful tactical play by the Saudi backline that continuously frustrated and caused problems for the team that was expected to steamroll them and be contenders for the cup this year.

Canada vs. Belgium Prediction

Just this morning Germany lost to Japan and although it is hard to say they were complacent considering they had 26 shots today, that one-nil lead vanished In the final third of the game as Japan was able to bury it twice are in a 10-minute time span then hold on to seal the deal.

No neither of these teams are playing in the game we are wagering on today but there is a point to be made there. This is the World Cup and anything can happen. It already has begun this year in a big way. The dogs are barking in Qatar and I am looking to cash in on another one this afternoon.

Belgium is among the more talented nations at the World Cup this year as they have been for the last two world cups as well. They have some elite talent and guys that have played together and played well in the past. A lot of that team is returning this year, especially on the back end. While I do not want to underestimate them and the talent they possess it is indisputable that most of Belgium's starters are leaving the golden age of their careers and are less dominant than they were last time they played in the cup. They are the group favorites here and rightfully so however I don’t think the steamroll through the group by any means and believe their age can catch up to them today.

We have already seen two major upsets over group favorites and while I am not saying Canada knocks them off today they are capable of doing so and even more likely to keep this one tight. The attacking part of the game for both squads is in the air but I think that may hurt Belgium more as they play more defensive soccer normally as is and are without Romelu Lukaku for the match.

Canada did not allow more than one goal in the World Cup qualifying match and kept seven clean sheets. I think their style of play keeps them in this one.
