It’s time for the World Cup favorites to kick off their campaign. Their clash with Serbia is arguably one of the most anticipated clashes of the round, given that the European side is on fire and toppled Portugal in their qualifying group.

The World Cup‘s most successful side heads to Qatar following an unbeaten qualifying campaign, picking up 45 points from 17 games. They scored 27 goals in their eight games this year. Since November 2019, they lost just one game across all competitions, the 2021 Copa America final against Argentina.

Their squad is fully packed with star players who are performing at the highest level in the top European leagues. Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar needs just three goals to surpass Pele as Brazil’s all-time leading goalscorer, so you can imagine how determined he is. He is the leader, the talisman, and we expect him to deliver.

Tottenham’s Richarlison starts as their number nine, and his record of late is fantastic. They also have a solid backline. Basically, they have all the weapons to go all the way and lift the trophy. The first match is always very important. Serbia’s attacking firepower is out of this world. In midfield, Serbia has Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Dusan Tadic. Up front, they have Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dusan Vlahovic, and Luka Jovic, and on the wing, they have Filip Kostic.

They have great pace. They have amazing creativity. They are dangerous on set pieces. They basically have everything minus a rock-solid backline that can stop Neymar and Co. from scoring. This clash should easily go over, so we will back the over 2.5 goals for our 1st parlays pick.

Brazil vs. Serbia Pick

  • 1st Parlay Pick: Over 2.5 goals (-133)

Fernando Santos’ side has struggled to live up to their 2016 European Championship success, but they have the nation’s hero Cristiano Ronaldo, who once again dominates the headlines ahead of Thursday’s clash with Ghana. CR7 is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement immediately following the controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

Portugal’s final six qualifiers saw them score nine of their 14 goals before half-time. On top of that, they have been leading at half-time in their last 10 wins. The Portuguese squad contains a nice balance of quality, experience, and youth, and recently they changed the system, playing more on the front foot than they normally do.

Ghana is the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, but the addition of Inaki Williams, in particular, should help them in the final third. Portugal should have no problem here. They have the power to even cover the spread, but this is a parlay bet, so we will take it on the moneyline. Bruno Fernandes is our take for the anytime goalscorer market. He scored twice against Nigeria and netted five goals in his last eight matches for his country.

He knows everything about the top 5 European leagues, Champions League and Europa League and he is well known for his “trade-mark” “Alex Classic” bet (both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the match). He’s very disciplined, follows a strict set of rules, and has great bankroll management. He’s our European soccer specialist and he's having an average of 55 units of profit in the last 7 years with his soccer picks. He’s all about positive energy, respect, and long-term profit and if you ever hear “Alex’s last-minute goal” that means he did it again winning a bet in the last minute of the game, so never lose hope.
