FilmOdds
The Power of the Dog-140
CODA+105
Belfast+1100
King Richard+2300
Dune+2800
West Side Story+3500
Licorice Pizza+5500
Don't Look Up+6500

This really feels like a two film race between The Power of the Dog and CODA. Here we see The Power of the Dog, a film with 12 nominations, leading the way as the favorite but that lead has shortened recently. CODA though is a feel-good story and a completely different vibe than the much darker The Power of the Dog. I think the public likes CODA better but the more critically acclaimed The Power of the Dog will have the edge here.

Pick: The Power of the Dog -140 (Bet $140 to win $100)

Best Director

+2300Kenneth Branagh4.2%
+2300Steven Spielberg4.2%
+2300Paul Thomas Anderson4.2%
+3500Ryusuke Hamaguchi2.8%

This one is a lock. Jane Campion is expected to run away with this one. She directed The Power of the Dog which as I mentioned above is a film that critics love. Her implied chance of taking home the award is 96 percent, it would be a massive upset if anyone else won the award and I don't see how anybody else does.

Pick: Jane Campion -2400 (Bet $2400 to win $100)

Bestor Actor

NameOdds
Will Smith-600
Benedict Cumberbatch+550
Andrew Garfield+1000
Denzel Washington+2800
Javier Bardem+4100

This will be another chalk answer from me. Give me Will Smith to win his first Oscar. His performance as Richard Williams in King Richard was stellar and while I also loved Benedict Cumberbatch's performance, I think the more deserving of the Academy Award is Smith in this instance.

Pick: Will Smith -600 (Bet $600 to win $100)

Best Actress Odds

NameOdds
Jessica Chastain-140
Nicole Kidman+240
Kristen Stewart+500
Olivia Colman+500
Penelope Cruz+1600

Jessica Chastain was phenomenal in The Eyes of Tammy Faye and is the favorite but I'm feeling an upset. Give me Olivia Colman in The Lost Daughter for my pick. That movie takes a really dark turn and while she might feel like a longshot, I'm willing to take that risk on these odds because of how impressed I was with her in the film. I think the critics will agree with me here even though the public seems locked in on Jessica Chastain.

Pick: Olivia Colman +500 (Bet $100 to win $500)

Best Supporting Actor

NameOdds
Troy Kotsur+120
Kodi Smit-McPhee+275
Ciaran Hinds+2200
Jesse Plemons+3300
J.K. Simmons+4000

This category feels pretty open but I like the favorite, Troy Kotsur. His performance as the father in CODA was really, really good. Earlier I picked The Power of the Dog over CODA but here in the Best Supporting Actor category I will take CODA as the slight favorite.

Pick: Troy Kotsur +120 (Bet $100 to win $120)

Best Supporting Actress

+600Kirsten Dunst14.3%
+1800Aunjanue Ellis5.3%
+2500Judi Dench3.8%
+3500Jessie Buckley2.8%

Ariana DeBose is the easy pick here. It's chalk but she was downright great as Anita in West Side Story. Ironically, in 1961 Rita Morena won this award in the same role. History repeats itself again on Sunday, take the favorite.

Pick: Ariana DeBose -1600 (Bet $1600 to win $100)
