Our friends over at the Australian incarnation of Oddschecker have got us really excited for this week's Aussie Rules clash, which is apparently the second biggest day in the AFL calender behind the final itself. With that in mind we thought it rude not to give you the best picks available for it.

The 25th meeting between Essendon and Collingwood on Anzac Day is one the most anticipated in recent memory thanks to three consecutive wins by designated home side for this clash. The Bombers fans will come in their droves to see if their side can match it with the current premiership favorites who are themselves coming off a convincing win. The Pies lead the head to head in this fixture 14-9 with a draw in the very first match back in 1995. They’ve won seven of the nine this decade including a 49-point margin last year. Essendon have kicked an average of 18 goals during their three game winning streak, which ranks them clearly #1 during that span but sit #2 overall at 92.6 points per game. Collingwood sit just behind in equal third with 90.4 points per game and also rank #4 for defence, a balance the Bombers haven’t quite got right this season. It’s going to be a thrilling contest between two great rivals with Collingwood heading in rightly as two goal favorites.
