Australian Open Men’s Draw Second Round Predictions: Medvedev Could Struggle With Kyrgios
After several upsets on the Men’s side at the Australian Open in the first round, things calmed down a bit on the first day of the Second Round last night, as No. 10 seed Hubert Hurkacz was the only ranked casualty to lose. However, that does not mean that others were not pushed to the limits, as No. 14 seed Denis Shapovalov (which we predicted) and No. 19 Pablo Carreno Busta won grueling five-set matches. Therefore, even though many moneylines remain steep on the Men’s side, there is still an opportunity to cash in.
What does Wednesday’s action have in store? We preview our best bets from the men’s draw of the fourth day of matches for the Australian Open.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs. Felix Auger-Aliassime OVER 3.5 Sets (-155) (Bet $155 to Win $100)
Click Here for Fokina vs Auger-Aliassime Odds
Much like Denis Shapovalov, Felix Auger-Aliassime is an ultra-talented player that is one of the highest-ranked players in the world. Still, often they make life more difficult for themselves by spending more time on the court than needed. That was evident in Auger-Aliassime’s first match, where Emil Ruusuvouri, the 90th-ranked player in the world, took him to five sets. Ruusuvouri had lost in the opening round in two of his previous three tournaments leading up to the Australian Open, so it was a wonder why FAA struggled with him. Fokina is ranked No. 50 in the world and has taken sets against highly-ranked players like Hubert Hukacz within the calendar year on hardcourt. With Fokina being the fresher player entering this match, having won his opening match in straight sets, we like him to be competitive here.
Daniil Medvedev to beat Nick Kyrgios 3 Sets to 1 (+225) (Bet $100 to Win $225)
Click Here for Krygios vs Medvedev Odds
Medvedev is the favorite to win (+150) the Australian Open in Novak Djokovic’s absence, but those that made the draw did not do him any favors with this Second Round matchup. Kyrgios is a huge server whose serve speed gets amplified on the fast surface. Plus, he will have the crowd behind him as a native to Australia, which means Medvedev will have a lot to overcome. With how difficult Kyrgios will be to break in this match, we can see him ultimately pulling out a tiebreak win in a set. Ultimately, Medvedev’s craftiness will get the best of Kyrgios, who does not have the mental fortitude to commit to five sets of focused tennis against a superior opponent.
Jannik Sinner to Win 3-0 and Taylor Fritz ML Parlay (+132) (Bet $100 to Win $132)

Click Here for Tiafoe vs Fritz Odds
With our third bet, we offer our first two-leg parlay of the tournament, as we expect Jannik Sinner to cruise in straight sets and for Taylor Fritz to win outright. Sinner beat Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-2 in their lone hardcourt matchup in the quarterfinals of the Washington D.C. tournament this year, and the only time Johnson took a set off Sinner was on clay, arguably Sinner’s worst surface. Meanwhile, Fritz has won the first set at each of his last six Grand Slam main draw matches, and he should once again start fast against Frances Tiafoe, who is coming off a tough five-set victory in the Opening Round.
