Jack Sock vs. Tommy Paul Prediction
Arguably the most exciting opening round match of this year’s Atlanta Open is between two talented Americans, Jack Sock and Tommy Paul. Sock has seen his ranking dip to No. 104 after losing seven of his 13 matches this season, and he has lost each of his last four ATP main draw matches on US soil against younger opponents.
Tommy Paul has climbed to No. 34 in the world rankings and is looking to build off the momentum of a respectable run to the Round of 16 at Wimbledon, where he lost to Cameron Norrie.
Each of Paul’s last four ATP main draw matches has gone under the total games line, but we expect Sock to push him in their first career head-to-head meeting. Sock played well at Wimbledon despite having to qualify his way into the field. He beat Bernabe Zapata Miralles and Max Cressy before losing a heartbreaking five-set match against Jason Kubler in the third round. Sock’s return of serve was great at Wimbledon, and his ability to break Paul’s serve in this match could force a third set and a longer match than predicted.

Jenson Brooksby vs. Benoit Paire Start Time and Where to Watch

Jenson Brooksby vs. Benoit Paire Prediction
Jenson Brooksby has the fourth-best odds to win the Atlanta Open, even better than top-seed Reilly Opelka, despite not being fortunate enough to earn a first-round bye. Brooksby will be motivated to make quick work of Paire, as his higher-seeded opponents will have a rest advantage over him in the latter stages of this tournament.
Brooksby played well at Wimbledon, losing in the Round of 32 to eventual semifinalist Christian Garin. He has reached as high as No. 33 in the world rankings in June of this year and is rising as a threat on hard courts, as evidenced by his Fourth Round appearance at last year’s US Open.
Benoit Paire is just 3-18 this year and has lost 16 of his last 17 ATP main draw matches.
Brooksby should run him off the court easily in this one, making the under on the projected games line an enticing play.
Jenson Brooksby vs. Benoit Paire Pick
PICK: Brooksby-Paire UNDER 21.5 Games (-125) (Bet $125 to win $100)
