Marie Bouzkova vs Karolina Pliskova Prediction

Marie Bouzkova has become an emerging star this season on the WTA Tour. She has accommodated one of the highest win increases since last season. She has even won WTA single title this year on hardcourt in her home country of the Czech Republic. She faces off with her fellow mate Karolina Pliskova.

Pliskova has had an up-and-down year for the most part. She had a bad injury to start the season and has come along pretty decently late in the year. These two girls are 1-1 versus each other and the most recent win this year went to Bouzkova where she dominated Pliskova.

Both of these girls had long three-set matches in the last round. Bouzkova for the most part blew a lead in the second set to have to play a third set in which she dominated. Pliskova had to win in a 10-point tiebreaker to even make it to this match. Bouzkova's form and style are going to give Pliskova a lot of trouble. She's a rally kind of player and likes to have long points.

Pliskova doesn't move that well and is very stationary or I like to call it she moves like a dinosaur at times. Pliskova likes to rely on her big serve to get her through games. In round 1 she was 53/100 on the first serve. That's huge for someone like Pliskova. Bouzkova was 62/84 which is way better than Pliskova.

This match is really going to come down to who can serve better. I give the advantage to Bouzkova. She has been in superior form all season. I expect the legs off and long rallies of Bouzkova to be too much of a problem for Pliskova here. This will be a battle between two girls from the same country. But in the end, I have full faith that Marie Bouzkova will prevail.
