How To Read Euro 2020 Odds

Euro 2020 odds are shown by sportsbooks in the same way that they are for other soccer games. Unlike football and hockey, the most common form of bet for Euro betting is the moneyline.

When reading Euro Cup odds, you will therefore see three outcomes and three sets of corresponding odds. For example, the first game of the tournament, which is between Italy and Turkey, has these outcomes and odds (at time of writing).

● Italy win (-177)

● Draw (+300)

● Turkey win (+680)

The lower the number, the better the Euro 2020 odds. In this case, oddsmakers believe that Italy is more likely to win the game than the other two outcomes so is giving the team the best odds.

-177 shows that you would need to bet $177 on Italy to win $100, while you’d win $680 for a $100 bet if you bet on Turkey and they won.

Who is the favorite to win the delayed Euro 2020?

Despite winning in 2016, defending champions Portugal do not have the best Euro Cup odds.

Instead, England have had the lowest Euro 2020 odds for some time, though France, Belgium, and Germany have been closing the gap. As we get closer to the tournament, the Euro Cup odds for futures will change frequently.

Popular Euro Cup Bets & Markets

You’ll find Euro betting odds for hundreds of different markets, ranging from futures wagers to prop bets like which team will score first. Though of course, some are more popular than others. Some of the most favored bets are:

● Futures - including outright Euro 2020 winner, and which team will make it to the finals, semi-finals, and quarter-finals.

● Daily game bets - wagers on the outcomes of individual Euro 2020 matches

● Prop bets - wagers on events in games like

● Which team to score first

● Score at halftime

● Number of corners in a game

● Number of yellow or red cards shown during a game

Another popular Euro betting option is the parlay. These are combinations of multiple wagers, combined together on a single slip. Euro Cup odds for parlays are generally much higher than for individual game bets, but they come with a lower chance of a payout.

Euro 2020 Futures Explained

Just like with most sporting competitions, Euro 2020 odds cover futures bets too. These are bets on events that will take place in the future as opposed to on the same day, which is when most bets are placed on individual matches.

Euro 2020 odds are displayed in the same way for futures as they are in other sports, so if you’re familiar with placing outright bets on the Super Bowl or NBA Finals, you’ll be able to bet on the Euro 2020 winner with ease.

You will also find Euro Cup odds for more than just the outright winner though. Most Euro betting sites will accept wagers on which team will make it into the round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, and the final. You can often also bet on which team will finish as the runner-up.

During the group stages, you will final futures Euro Cup odds for which team will win each of the groups, which is a unique challenge in itself, since you must consider the performance of just four teams in a round-robin format.

Why was Euro 2020 delayed?

Like many sporting events, Euro 2020 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Uncertainty around how players, staff, and spectators could be kept safe led the organizers, UEFA to delay the tournament by a year. The delay will see the same schedule kept, shifted by exactly 12 months (minus one day). So instead of the first match taking place on June, 12, Turkey and Italy will face off on June, 11 instead. Most fans have been able to transfer their tickets to the new dates while most Euro betting sites continued to accept wagers while organizers rearranged the competition.

Where is the Euro Cup going to be played in 2021?

Usually, the UEFA European Championship is held in a single city. However, in 2000, Belgium and the Netherlands hosted it jointly, with matches taking place in both countries. Since then, hosting duties were shared between Austria and Switzerland in 2008 and Poland and Ukraine in 2012.

For Euro 2020, UEFA decided to do something a little different. Games will be held in 11 different countries. These will be:

● Amsterdam, Netherlands

● Baku, Azerbaijan

● Bucharest, Romania

● Budapest, Hungary

● Copenhagen, Denmark

● Glasgow, Scotland

● London, England

● Munich, Germany

● Rome, Italy

● Saint Petersburg, Russia

● Seville, Spain

Germany and Spain are the most successful countries in the European Championship. They have both won the competition three times. Germany tops the list though as it has finished second on three occasions, while Spain has only been the runner-up once.

Knowing which team has won the most is useful when looking at Euro 2020 odds, as it shows which nations have already proved they have what it takes to be successful.

Will Euro 2020 have fans?

After EURO 2020 was postponed for one year, and in the time since there has been much speculation about whether fans will be allowed into the stadiums. The good news is that UEFA has reached agreements with each of the host cities to ensure that at least some fans will be permitted to watch in the bleachers. The amount will vary per city, with Budapest targeting 100% capacity, while London, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, Rome, and Seville aiming for 25-33% capacity.

If you’re watching at home on TV, this will mean you’ll get to enjoy the cheering, chanting, and singing that adds to the atmosphere of soccer games.

How many goals has Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the Euro Cup?

If you’re looking for Euro Cup odds for prop bets, then you may want to know how many goals players like Cristiano Ronald have scored. While the Portuguese legend has scored 103 international goals and 479 domestic goals throughout his career, he’s only managed nine in the European Championship. While this number sounds pretty small, he’s actually the joint highest goal scorer in the competition. Frenchman Michel Platini is the only other player to have scored nine goals, though he managed it in just five matches in the 1984 tournament, while Ronaldo has played 21 matches over the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 tournaments. For this reason, Ronaldo has some of the best Euro 2020 odds for being the top goalscorer, though some Euro betting tips are favoring Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, and Romelu Lukaku.
