Eshtibaak can win the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar on Monday, says Chris Wilson, who has a tip for every UK and Irish race. BALLINROBE: 5.25 Cocktail Hour, 6.00 Salhooda, 6.30 Munsaab, 7.00 Father Jack, 7.30 Hurricane Ridge, 8.00 Usa, 8.30 Loch Ard Lady. CARLISLE: 2.10 Thornaby Nash, 2.40 Art Dzeko, 3.15 Mey Blossom, 3.50 Danat Al Atheer, 4.20 Le Chat D'Or, 4.55 Fly Solo, 5.25 Smalljohn. CARTMEL: 2.00 Phase Shift, 2.30 Allowed, 3.05 Storming Gale, 3.40 King Fontaine, 4.10 Bafana Choice, 4.45 Vinnie My Boy, 5.15 Wolf Shield. LEICESTER: 2.25 Secondo, 3.00 Sutton Sid, 3.35 Rock Song, 4.05 School Fees, 4.40 Luckys Connoisseur, 5.10 Fersah, 5.40 Ice Tres. REDCAR: 2.20 Danfazi, 2.50 Danehill Flyer, 3.25 Legal Waves, 4.00 ESHTIBAAK (NAP), 4.30 Nordikhab, 5.05 Dr Irv, 5.35 Medieval Bishop. WINDSOR: 2.15 Royal Challis, 2.45 Tableforten, 3.20 Jocasta Dawn, 3.55 King Of Jazz, 4.25 March, 5.00 Consign, 5.30 Lucky Henry, 6.00 Mama Quilla. DOUBLE: Eshtibaak and Art Dzeko. Eshtibaak rates a confident selection in the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar on Monday. Trainer John Gosden has wisely opted for this richly-endowed handicap as the next port of call for the sparingly-raced five-year-old, who made such a good impression at Chester last time out. The son of Dalakhani was not in love with the twists and turns on the Roodee, but still managed to give Sir John Hawkwood a real run for his money. Eshtibaak got to within three-quarters of a length of Sir Michael Stoute's 110-rated inmate, who has since won a big prize at York. The form was also given a boost at Hamilton last week when the third horse home at Chester, Beaumont's Party, finished second in the Listed Braveheart Stakes. Eshtibaak has very few miles on the clock for a horse of his age and should be far happier at a galloping circuit like Redcar - especially if the ground is good - than he was in Cheshire. Toruk Macto and Gabrial The Great are worthy foes on their respective debuts for Sir Henry Cecil and Luca Cumani. But whereas that duo might both be need of a sighter following lengthy absences, Gosden's entire will be fresh and fit after having had two runs already this term. Art Dzeko should go well in division one of the 32Red Casino Handicap at Carlisle. Tim Easterby's four-year-old enjoyed himself at Beverley a fortnight ago when he finished a close-up third in a decent five-furlong sprint. The handicapper has since raised him 2lb, but he is clearly approaching something like the form which saw him rattle off a double at around this time last year. Carlisle's sprint course often puts the accent on stamina, which is another positive for Art Dzeko, whose resolution is perhaps his best character trait. Rock Song is an interesting candidate vying for top honours in the Bet totequadpot Text Tote To 89660 Handicap at Leicester. Trainer John Mackie has done a decent job with this four-year-old since his switch from Amanda Perrett's yard and appears to be coming to hand nicely for this assignment. The gelded son of Rock Of Gibraltar has shown up particularly well on the all-weather this year, but also caught the eye over a mile and a quarter at Newmarket a week and a half ago. Rock Song finished fourth behind Frozen Over, beaten just over a length, yet remains off the same perch of 70 for this weaker race. There is unquestionably more to come from a horse who has the potential to win a nice handicap this summer. Lucky Henry does not look a straightforward individual, but he should still be given another whirl in the Join The Young Hooves Kids Club Handicap at Windsor. The Clive Cox-trained runner was a slightly unlucky loser on his return at Doncaster in April, when trouble in running contributed to Sheikhzayedroad's four-length success. He could not consolidate at Goodwood, though, when first-time blinkers appeared to unsettle Lucky Henry in a tight eight-runner handicap over a nine furlongs. Cox has rightly ditched the headgear on this occasion, while the combination of a 1lb lower mark and the step back in trip could see him return to the winner's enclosure for the first time since his juvenile days. Northern stalwart King Fontaine had been in fine fettle during the spring, and would most certainly not be winning out of turn in the Burlington Stone Grand Veterans' Handicap Chase at Cartmel.
The 2000 Guineas was billed as a duel between Dawn Approach and Toronado, but last year's champion juvenile was dominant on
the Rowley Mile at Newmarket. The unbeaten Dawn Approach is 7/4 to emulate Camelot and add the Derby to the Guineas.
The road to Epsom takes in lots of different courses, including Chester, Lingfield, York and Leopardstown, plus several on
the continent. Follow the Classic trail live on RUK.
