Seamus Coleman as short as 1/3 to sign for Man Utd in January

The Everton full-back’s odds of moving to Old Trafford have been slashed to 1/3, with 2/1 still available in places.

Republic of Ireland right-back Seamus Coleman joined Everton back in 2009 from Sligo Rovers. The fee was in the region of £60,000 and 198 appearances later he goes down as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever bargains. However, could his time at Goodison Park be coming to an end?

According to bookmakers a move to Man Utd in the January transfer window is likely. United are the favourites to sign him across the board, with his price as short as 1/3 with one bookie. However, if you fancy backing this transfer then best-price 2/1 is still available.

Coleman has been capped 42 times by his country since making his debut in 2011 and the 28-year-old could provide Jose Mourinho with some much-needed competition for places at right-back. Antonio Valencia has been a consistent figure in the Premier League this season, featuring in 18 of the 21 games, with Matteo Darmian’s future at Old Trafford looking uncertain.

Arsenal are the second favourites to sign Coleman at best-price 10/1, with AC Milan, Inter and Man City all best-price 20/1.
