Odds cut on Spurs star joining Manchester United

Bookies have halved odds on a key Tottenham player moving to Old Trafford.

Since yesterday odds have shortened on Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen joining Manchester United, from 7/1 to 2/1 in places.

Other bookies had him at 14/1 just yesterday, and they have since slashed that price to 4/1.

Punters have rushed to back Eriksen joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad, with a whopping 82% of bets in the last 24 hours going on United.

Since joining Spurs from Ajax back in 2013, the Dane has established himself as one of the most potent creative forces in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old had apparently been eyeing a move to Real Madrid following Spurs’ Champions League final disappointment.

However, a move to the La Liga giants is looking less and less likely according to the odds, now a best price of 5/1.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “With both Barcelona and Real Madrid splashing the cash elsewhere, Christian Eriksen’s opportunities are looking more limited than he might have expected at the close of the season.

“He’s still 8/15 to stay at Spurs and as a move to Old Trafford is unlikely to be his ticket to silverware, that looks a more sensible price than the 2/1 about United.”
