Odds suggest Christian Eriksen set to DITCH Spurs for Man Utd

The Danish playmaker is now odds-on to move to Old Trafford.

Bookies have slashed odds on Christian Eriksen quitting Spurs in favour of a move to Manchester United. The Dane is now odds-on, as short as 1/2 to make the move to Old Trafford.

Punters are convinced the reports have legs, with a massive 83% of bets going on Eriksen moving to Tottenham’s Premier League rivals.

This has been a transfer rumour that has lingered for months, with United shortening as far as 2/1 back in May, while as recently as last week some bookies had them at 14/1.

The 27-year-old had previously been linked to a move to Spain, with Real Madrid and Barcelona both touted as potential suitors. However, they’re now priced at 10/1 and 40/1 respectively.

Having already added Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Harry Maguire to his squad, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t short of new faces heading into the new season.

Despite Paul Pogba now looking likely to stay at Man Utd, the club are still heavily linked to another ambitious addition to their midfield before Thursday’s deadline.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Man Utd are once again the centre of every transfer saga going, be it Gareth Bale, Bruno Fernandes or Christian Eriksen.

“A move for Eriksen would surely put an end to the club’s rumoured pursuit of Bruno Fernandes. The Red Devils have now drifted out to 5/4 to sign the Sporting star. That’s the same price other bookies have him to stay at the Portuguese club, which could be telling.”
