So, who will be oddschecker’s last tipster standing in the Free Bet Streak?
Here are their selections for the qualifying race offer, the Queen Anne Stakes…

Lord North
Lord North has the potential to be one of the stars of the season. The four-year-old beat a very talented field at Haydock, which included a couple of horses I’m very keen on in Elarqam and Sangarius. There were obvious signs of improvement in that outing, and looked a better horse than the one that finished second on both outings at Ascot last season. There’s a bit of rain forecasted which will only benefit. Circus Maximus is a really tough horse and will be tricky to beat, but I wouldn’t be touching around the 3/1 mark.

Circus Maximus
It might be obvious, but I can’t see past Circus Maximus here. He won on his reappearance at three before going on to land the St James’s Palace at Royal Ascot last year. This field is thin on quality which he can take advantage of. Circus Maximus has the best form in the race and Aidan O’Brien has started the season in fine form. Hopefully we see a strong gallop here which will suit the four-year-old. I can see him dominating the mile division this season.

Terrebellum
John Gosden has not hung around when it comes to finding his horses in the Winners’ Enclosure after the break and his Newmarket scorer Terrebellum put away a decent and well fancied yardstick in Queen Power last weekend over an extended 1m2f after a 9 month absence from the turf. That longer trip at Newmarket gave the distinct impression that this stiff, well run Ascot mile would suit and given this Sea The Stars filly has only ran 4 times in her career, the sky is the limit when it comes to potential improvement. Plus, with such low mileage on the clock, I’m not too bothered by the quick turnaround. Whilst the Fillies’ only Duke of Cambridge Stakes remains an option, Gosden already possesses the favourite for that contest and should Dettori take this ride in the Queen Anne, I’d expect it to seriously challenge Circus Maximus for favouritism. The selection has a 3lb pull and given some question marks about Circus’ fitness first time out, this rates a confident bet that looks sure to shorten if taking up the engagement.

Mohaather
Mohaather has looked extremely progressive in his five runs to date and it might be forgotten he was a live 2000 Guineas contender, having won three in four last term, until injury forced him to miss most of the summer. Despite the bare form number not being all that eye-catching, his 5th last time out over a mile at Ascot actually provided me with great encouragement. Returning from a 189-day break, against stiff opposition and in tough conditions, the colt showed a great attitude despite having nothing go his way in the race and stayed on gamely, dismissing any doubts about the trip. That test should hold him in good stead and he could well outrun odds of 12/1. Trainer Marcus Tregoning is operating at a 33% strike rate since resumption and will have his four-year-old primed for the occasion.

Lord North
Lord North has had a quick turn around since running at Haydock earlier this month, but was an impressive group 3 winner that day. He’s improved for having a run in the past and may hold an advantage in that respect over the horses coming in fresh. If he goes to the Queen Anne rather than the Prince of Wales, in which he also has an entry, then he’s certainly worth a good look.
Guy Harding, Head of Commercial
Fox Chariman
It may not be the curtain raiser this year, but the first Group 1 of the Royal meeting is sure to arouse excitement in punters. The race has historically been one for favourite backers but the last couple of years have thrown up a couple of big priced winners. That said, and evidenced by the Newmarket results last weekend, from a price discovery perspective the market is yet to get back up to speed.
For that reason I am going to side with recent trainer form. Andrew Balding has been on fire since racing resumed and for that reason my £20 back bet with Betfair exchange will be on Fox Chairman at 9.2.
Second to Sangarius in the Hampton Court at the meeting last year, I’ll be hoping for a little more rain over the weekend in his first Group One contest
Sam Farley, Content and Marketing Manager
Fox Chairman
A lot of the talk seems to be around Circus Maximus but there’s something about Fox Chairman that appeals to me. He’s unexposed at this distance and the lure of such big potential is too difficult for me to ignore, as anybody who’s seen my Football Manager save packed with wonderkids would know. Luck wasn’t on his side when he finished third to Circus Maximus previously, and the Queen Anne could be where his undoubted potential, and a pinch of luck, see him do the business.

Circus Maximus
It took a while for Team Ballydoyle to find the key to Circus Maximus last season. They started at Chester and even took in the Derby with him, but it wasn’t until they dropped him back to a mile that he reached his peak. A win in the St James’ Palace last year and a second to Too Darn Hot at Goodwood is the best form on offer in this race and he looks to have his ultimate conditions again to strike in the Queen Anne. The stiff mile will suit him down to the ground whereas a lot of Tuesday’s rivals appear to want a longer trip and could be caught out for pace. He won first time out last season and the O’Brien team have been in great form since the resumption of racing so you can be sure he’ll be ready to go.

Circus Maximus
I've done my research, I've listened to the previews and I've heard many people talk down the chances of Circus Maximus but I can't ignore the him off the back of some WhatsApp pitter-patter.
He landed the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last year and held off some seriously strong late charges. I expect those charges this year to come from Fox Chairman and Mohaather but Circus Maximus will come good.
