He beat a subsequent 12-length scorer on his latest outing over 2m at Clonmel and likely to improve for stretching out in distance, there should be plenty more to come from him this term. Gordon Elliott's pair, Definite Plan and Camden Village, also arrive in winning form and both warrant respect.

Thatsy and All Those Years have both proven themselves to be useful over timber and neither would be a shock winner, but a chance is taken on the potential of MONKFISH. Bought for 235,000 pounds shortly after winning his point at Stowlin last April, he made a promising Rules debut when runner-up in a Punchestown Festival bumper 192 days ago (winner second in a good maiden at Naas on Saturday) and should have no issue jumping hurdles this season. He's an exciting prospect.

The 11-year-old doesn't have many miles on the clock for his age, and may prove too good for recent C&D fourth Bythesametoken, who wears cheekpieces for the first time. Mickey Shea might prove best of the rather modest remainder.
