Royale Django is two wins from three starts at this venue and is a must for the shortlist, likewise Sartene's Son.

Point winner THE MULCAIR is related to plenty of decent types under Rules and could go some way towards justifying his 65,000 pounds price tag for new connections. The five-year-old is in excellent hands for this debut and, having already proven his credentials over 3m, is fancied to prove too strong for Danboru, who wasn't disgraced when fourth in a better contest at Aintree 19 days ago. Jepeck won at Bangor-on-Dee two days ago and would be interesting if lining up again.

FELIX D'AUTRY shaped with an abundance of promise when second over the extended 2m1f at Fontwell on debut and is expected to go one better now he has the benefit of that outing behind him. Shantou Vow makes plenty of appeal on his Huntingdon third in May and is the one expected to put up most resistance, while any money for Tom Symonds' French import, Fil D'ariane, would be notable.

PELTWELL produced a career best on her handicap debut at Chepstow last time, picking up a silver medal, and Neil Mulholland's six-year-old could go one better now off just a 4lb higher mark. Cold Fusion has been seen in France most recently and could be well treated on his return to the UK, while Camile is now 3lb lower than when scoring at Ayr in February and, despite some uninspiring recent form, may be an outsider to keep onside.

Three-time Flat winner VENTURA DRAGON has shaped nicely on his four attempts over hurdles so far and the step up in trip could be just what is required to bring about a first victory over timber for the four-year-old. Daryl Jacob is an interesting jockey booking aboard Steve Gollings' course-and-distance winner Zamoyski, who has been keeping in shape on the all-weather of late. Leskinfere is respected following his recent Stratford second, while Minella Examiner is not ruled out on his handicap debut.
