A race that revolves around FAUGHEEN, who is making his chasing debut at the age of 11. The former Champion Hurdler proved that he retained a fair amount of ability with a third-placed finish in the Stayers' Hurdle in March and he should outclass these rivals. Dommage Pour Toi won a Grade 2 over hurdles last season and was unlucky to fall on his chasing debut a week ago. The shortlist is completed by Antey, Trappist Monk and Walk Away.

Notebook won well on his chasing debut over C&D last month, where he accounted for ECLAIR DE BEAUFEU by nearly three lengths. That said, on this much softer ground the second could reverse that form and he was last seen winning easily at Wexford. Mount Pelier has to be of some interest given how well he won at Galway last time out, while Moon Over Germany is another to consider.

KLASSICAL DREAM enjoyed the perfect season in going unbeaten in four starts for Willie Mullins, including three victories at the highest level, and the Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner could be the yard's main Champion Hurdle hope this term. That said, he doesn't face the easiest of tasks on his seasonal bow with stablemates Sharjah, a two-time Grade 1 winner last term, and Saldier both solid threats on what they have achieved.

BLUE SARI sets a high standard on bumper form, following up an impressive victory at Gowran with a placed effort in the Champion Bumper behind Envoi Allen at Cheltenham, and the four-year-old rates a very exciting prospect on his hurdling bow for Willie Mullins. The Bosses Oscar won a Thurles bumper in good style and is expected to be in the mix along with Fusain, who finished third in a 2m1f Vichy conditions hurdle when shaping as though he would improve over a longer trip.

BIG TREE made up plenty of ground late in the day to claim third in a competitive Cork handicap four weeks ago and could take this if produced a little earlier this time. The six-year-old is on a workable mark of 102, and could account for the consistent Treacysenniscorthy, who has one of the better claiming riders on board in the shape of Kevin Brouder. Veteran Sir Ector is also noted after returning to form when third at Down Royal last time out.

THE BIG GETAWAY has found one too good in each of his two bumper starts so far, but this is an excellent chance for compensation and it will be disappointing if Willie Mullins' charge doesn't oblige. The five-year-old is expected to have a larger impact over obstacles, and is preferred ahead of Lou Trek, who was just beaten a neck in this sphere at Roscommon in September. 72,000-euros purchase Torygraph may prove best of the remainder.
