ORRISDALE won at Bangor on his second bumper outing in a contest that has already worked out well, with the trio that finished immediately behind him all running to a fair level over timber. He is bred to improve for the step up in distance and could make a winning debut over hurdles. Eglantier won on his sole outing at Fontwell in March and is of interest along with Captain Blackpearl, who placed in a point-to-point at Dungarvan in January.

BACK TO THE THATCH boasts some decent form in staying chases and is entitled to come on from his first outing of the season at Cheltenham last month. He was dropped 2lb for that effort and can take advantage of his sights being lowered. Goodnight Charlie ended last term in fine fettle by winning at Cheltenham's April meeting and she is respected along with Petite Power, also a winner at Prestbury Park when last seen.

Dan Skelton has won two of the last four renewals of this race and relies on Sense Of Adventure and Alnadam this time, while Bon Calvados stayed on stoutly to finish third at Ludlow on his hurdling debut 23 days ago and should have come on markedly for those exertions. THE SWAGMAN was unraced on the Flat for Aidan O'Brien but he has flourished in this code for Seamus Durack. Second here in July, this drop back to 2m after a break promises to suit and he gets the nod.

MIDNIGHT TUNE won a Grade 2 over hurdles as a novice and there was no shame in her losing out to a smart horse over fences at Fontwell last week. The eight-year-old should have more to offer in this discipline, and appears to have been found an excellent opportunity. Ballybough Nora wasn't disgraced in a competitive handicap hurdle at Exeter earlier this month and is interesting back over fences, while The Toojumpa is fancied to prove best of the modest remainder.

PELTWELL returned to form with a solid second over 2m at Chepstow last month and is expected to build on that effort and shrug off a 4lb rise in the ratings now stepped up in trip. Choochoobugaloo picked up the silver medal over 2m here on her penultimate outing and has place possibilities, while Tara Well makes some appeal on her distance second off this mark in January.
