The safest option may be to stick with recent C&D scorer STAR OF VALOUR, who could still have a bit in hand. Raised 3lb for those exertions, the four-year-old can be delivered right on the line once more.

POET'S MIND finished second in a hot novice race here last month and, given that he is the first foal of a Listed winner in the US, should have more to offer on artificial surfaces. Charlie Appleby has an excellent record at this track and his charge can prove too strong for Celestran, who is related to an all-weather winner and finished third on debut at Newmarket 15 days ago. William Haggas' Favorite Moon could prove best of the remainder.

The 90,000gns yearling is closely related to a few precocious winners and is expected to know her job on debut for William Haggas. River Nymph sets the form standard after finishing second at Newbury in September and looks every bit a 6f horse, while Agent Shiftwell is also noted.

VENTURA DESTINY has progressed nicely since switching to handicaps for Keith Dalgleish and could claim a hat-trick for the South Lanarkshire-based handler. The Outstrip filly accounted for Camacho Man (second) at Newcastle three weeks ago and confirmed that form when scoring by five lengths at Southwell a fortnight later. A 10lb rise makes life tougher, but she is going the right way and has been located another nice opening. You Don't Own Me is in good form and wears blinkers for the first time.

BETSEY TROTTER kept on strongly in the closing stages when striking over 6f at Wolverhampton last time and is interesting now returned to 7f, over which she's placed earlier in her career. Dizzy G is another stepping up from 6f but her previous 7f form isn't quite as appealing as the selection. With that in mind, perhaps the main dangers to the selection may be unexposed Godolphin three-year-old Moment Of Silence and Richard Hannon's distance winner, Canton Queen.

LOVING GLANCE needs to leave her last run at Sandown behind in order to figure but makes strong appeal on her 1m nose second at Kempton in August. A repeat of that effort from Martyn Meade's 83-rated filly may well suffice. Classic Design took a step in the right direction when third over C&D last month and can fight it out for the places with Finespun, who was given an introductory spin here last month and should be all the wiser for the outing.

FORBIDDEN DANCE built on some encouraging performances at this distance to open her account over track and trip last month and it would be no surprise to see Hughie Morrison's filly go in again off a 4lb higher mark. Iron Mike was only beaten a neck over 10 furlongs at Lingfield last time and could be dangerous off the same mark over a trip he has won over in the past. Raihaan is interesting on his debut for Ed Dunlop, with Gift Of Raaj also respected having shaped nicely on his first outing for Ivan Furtado at Newcastle.

Coronation Cottage caused a surprise at 25/1 when getting the better of Dark Side Dream (second) and SHEPHERD'S PURSE (third) over course and distance last month, but it would be no surprise to see Ruth Carr's seven-year-old turn the tables here. The Pastoral Pursuits gelding was only beaten a length on that occasion when looking for back-to-back track-and-trip victories and is better off with his conqueror on the revised terms. Zapper Cass is respected following his win at Southwell last week, with Tan another recent course-and-distance victor to make appeal in a competitive affair.
