OKITA SOUSHI was well beaten in the Ebor and Cesarewitch but had good summer form. Lightly raced, he was runner-up at Listed level in May and was third at Royal Ascot in June and while he makes his all-weather debut on reappearance, likes fast turf ground so should handle the surface, stays well and is top adjusted-rated runner. In-form Firstman is reliable but nonetheless is vulnerable to stakes performers. Jerandme stays well and has an good all-weather record but reappears in a hot race with spring jumping festivals likely to be on his radar. Joupe also has a good all-weather record but needs to improve to win. Keen-going Dash Of Spice won the 2018 Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes but disappointed on recent runs, is now nine and was bought for just 1,200gns last October.
Prediction : 1st Okita Soushi 2nd Firstman 3rd Jerandme

HARRY'S BAR can turn 2021 form with San Andreas. Both are smart performers and while the selection, with 13 all-weather wins, was beaten 2.75 lengths by San Andreas over a mile here in March 2021, is now 8lb better off. He is also much better suited by six furlongs than San Andreas, whose only win at this distance came as a two year old. Roderick had smart handicap form at top French racecourses in 2020/21 and while he had winning juvenile form over sprint distances, his best form is at a mile or more. He hasn't run since November 2021 and runs over an inadequate distance, having been bought for 4,000gns last October. Homebred newcomer Nice To Call First has a huge task while Surviving Murmansk has no chance.
Prediction : 1st Harrys Bar 2nd San Andreas 3rd Roderick

TAI SING YEH disappointed here in January but was probably unsuited by dropping in distance and won over course and distance just nine days. He should compete from 5lb higher. Catherine Of Siena is progressing very well and has an excellent all-weather record. She won over this distance in November and while open to further progression being just a three year old, nonetheless competes in her first handicap against battle-hardened rivals. Inflection Point, Gobi Star and Little Queenie have been running well recently while Dream Today's rating has dropped 2lb from his recent runs.
Prediction : 1st Tai Sing Yeh 2nd Catherine Of Siena 3rd Inflection Point

SATONO CHEVALIER is a 14-race maiden but could improve a fraction stepping back up to this distance. Out of a Group 3 winner and while undoubtably frustrating, his recent form is good and he is unexposed over this distance, having finished fourth from a rating of 69 on his only run at this trip last April. French Company is a three-time winner who is just 4lb higher than when winning over a slightly shorter trip last month. He is well suited by this distance and is dependable. Hinemoa won over course and distance in January and while she was well held subsequently, that was in a slightly higher grade handicap and can compete reverting to this level.
Prediction : 1st Satono Chevalier 2nd French Company 3rd Hinemoa

STORMY ENTRY looks an improving three-year-old who may be capable of carrying a penalty against some unexposed opponents. The Willie Browne-trained colt made a promising debut over 6f at this track in December, before getting off the mark over a furlong longer here last month. A mile should prove no obstacle to the son of Point of Entry and he is well drawn to gain a prominent early pitch. Cash Out was sent off favourite on his debut in November but after blowing the start he could never get involved. The Joseph O'Brien-trained colt still showed a glimmer of ability, so it would be no surprise to see a much improved effort. Teutates was a debut winner over course and distance last month. With that form being well advertised in the interim, the Churchill gelding holds strong claims.
Prediction : 1st Stormy Entry 2nd Cash Out 3rd Teutates

LEABALAND could be due his turn, having shaped encouragingly on a few occasions over the winter. The Martin Lynch-trained gelding was well supported when a somewhat unlucky fourth over course and distance back in October then finished second on his next start. Although not as good on his two most recent outings, the six-year-old remains fairly handicapped for this grade. Harbanakar returned to form when winning over course and distance last time. The Camacho gelding won off a higher mark in the past and now that Leanne Breen has found the key to him, the six-year-old should give another good account. Feature This continued the fine form of the Paul Flynn stable when successful at this track last time. This lightly raced filly has time on her side, so is open to further improvement.
Prediction : 1st Leabaland 2nd Harbanaker 3rd Feature This

MALAYSIAN can give her rookie trainer a winner on his first night sending out runners. Rated as high as 81 when trained by Jessica Harrington, the five-year-old got back to winning ways earlier this winter, when successful for Charlie Moore over course and distance. She subsequently ran well when a close third over 7f off a revised mark, before disappointing last time. In a race with a host of prominent racers, it should play into the hands of this Pride Of Dubai mare, who likes to be delivered from off the pace. Well Suited has dropped a long ways in the ratings in recent months but shapes as though he retains ability at this lower level. He is another that should enjoy arriving late on the scene. Buachaill Or is well drawn for a prominent racer and has the services of the excellent Jack Cleary.
Prediction : 1st Malaysian 2nd Well Suited 3rd Buachaill Or

MULGRAVE could be set for a quick double, having won over course and distance last Friday night. A keen sort, who needs to be settled and delivered from off the pace, the five-year-old received a textbook ride from Donagh O'Connor. Undoubtedly much better than a rating of 73, he has to do things right again but if O'Connor can replicate his efforts of seven days ago, it is hard to look beyond the John McConnell-trained gelding. Jaafel was a shade unlucky when a staying on third over 7f on his penultimate start but had no obvious excuses last time. On his best form, the son of Dark Angel should be capable of being involved. Higher Kingdom, who has developed into a consistent performer in recent times, should be finishing better than most on this drop back in trip.
Prediction : 1st Mulgrave 2nd Jaafel 3rd Higher Kingdom
