Golden State Warriors Championship Odds

Odds: +650 (Bet $100 to win $650)

The defending champions will return next season as the favorite to repeat and get their 5th championship in 9 years. 2 years ago, very few people thought the Warriors would be able to win another title. GM Bob Myers has made numerous moves after Kevin Durant left that helped them make it back to the top. Trading for Andrew Wiggins was crucial for their success this past season. Resigning some of their role players, including Otto Porter, Gary Payton, and Kevon Looney will be a top priority for Golden State this summer. Also, if James Wiseman returns healthy and takes that next step, they will be a very tough team to beat.

Boston Celtics Championship Odds

Odds: +700 (Bet $100 to win $700)

The Celtics came up just short in the NBA Finals this year, but the future is very bright for Boston. Both of their stars, Tatum and Brown, are 25 years old or younger. If Boston can keep those two together and sign a couple of role players that can fit with them, they will be contenders for a very long time. I believe signing scorers off the bench to take some of the offensive load off Tatum and Brown would be beneficial to them next season.

Los Angeles Clippers Championship Odds

Odds: +700 (Bet $100 to win $700)

People have started to forget about the Clippers. This roster is absolutely loaded top to bottom. Hopefully, Kawhi can return to his full form next year after missing this past season with a Torn ACL. Pairing him up with Paul George and Reggie Jackson, along with the emergence of their role players such as Terrence Mann and Luke Kennard will make for a scary team. Look for Tyronn Lue to put the pieces together a little better this season and make the Clippers a real threat to be the last team standing out of the West.

Milwaukee Bucks Championship Odds

Odds: +750 (Bet $100 to win $750)

The Bucks' season this year was hampered by one critical injury. If Khris Middleton doesn’t miss that series vs Boston, we may be talking about the Bucks as back-to-back champions. The Bucks will likely try to resign two of their most impact role players in Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton. I believe that Giannis loves how this team has been constructed and wants to run it back to see if they can get another championship this upcoming season.

Brooklyn Nets Championship Odds

Odds: +900 (Bet $100 to win $900)

This team is the biggest wild card in the NBA for next year. The Nets roster is arguably the most talented roster in the entire league. Kyrie really held them back this year, missing half of the games due to his vaccination status. This hurt them in the playoffs when it looked like they lacked chemistry. There are already rumors swirling about the Nets being tired of Kyrie's antics and wanting to move on. The Nets will need to either receive a big haul in return for Kyrie or keep the same core of guys together next year and hope the chemistry of this team will improve with another season under their belt.

Phoenix Suns Championship Odds

Odds: +1000 (Bet $100 to win $1000)

This number was very surprising to me. Getting +1000 odds for the team that just had the best regular season in the NBA, going 64-18, is something to keep an eye on. Chris Paul will be turning 38 years old, and this might be his last chance to win a ring. Deandre Ayton was underwhelming in the playoffs this year and Monty Williams has been visibly frustrated with him. I don’t believe there is any truth behind the trade rumors surrounding Ayton, as the 23-year-old is a big part of who the Suns want to be for years to come.

Dallas Mavericks Championship Odds

Odds: +1400 (Bet $100 to win $1400)

Luka and the Mavericks had an impressive run in the NBA Playoffs this season, before losing in the Western Conference Finals to the eventual champion Golden State Warriors. They just traded for a versatile big in Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets. Could he be the missing piece to get them over the hump?

Denver Nuggets Championship Odds

Odds: +1400 (Bet $100 to win $1400)

The Nuggets missed Jamal Murray badly this season. I would consider the Nuggets a sleeper for the NBA championship next year and there is a lot of value at +1400. They have the back-to-back MVP, Jamal Murray who looked unstoppable back in 2020, and a young Michael Porter Junior that they are desperately hoping takes that next step into becoming an All-Star caliber player.

Miami Heat Championship Odds

Odds: +1400 (Bet $100 to win $1400)

The Miami Heat just feel like they are one piece away from being a true contender. They were the one seed in the East this year and they did take the Boston Celtics to 7 games in the Eastern Conference Finals, but they just didn’t look like they had enough offensive firepower to be a real threat. Look for them to package young players, like Tyler Herro, in hopes of landing Jimmy Butler a co-star, potentially Donovan Mitchell.

Philadelphia 76ers Championship Odds

Odds: +1400 (Bet $100 to win $1400)

The 76ers chances next year rely on if James Harden can return to his old self. We know what we are going to get from Embiid, provided he stays healthy, and they have excellent young role players in Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle along with veteran Tobias Harris. They have the potential to make a run if Harden can improve from this past season.

Memphis Grizzlies Championship Odds

Odds: +1600 (Bet $100 to win $1600)

The Grizzlies have a very talented young core starring Ja Morant. Desmond Bane proved himself this past year as a deadly shooter, along with other young pieces such as Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson Jr. Look for the grizzlies to sign some veteran physical wings to mentor this young team and help them make that next step.

Los Angeles Lakers Championship Odds

Odds: +2500 (Bet $100 to win $2500)

This line is almost disrespectful to the Lakers. Giving a Lebron James-led team +2500 odds to win the title is crazy to even think about. The Lakers have two big question marks next season and they are if Anthony Davis can stay healthy and if Darvin Ham can find a way to make Russell Westbrook fit in this system. It seems as if they are going to stick with Russ for at least one more year. +2500 odds is definitely more than worth it if Anthony Davis can return to that top 10 player he was just two seasons ago.

New Orleans Pelicans Championship Odds

Odds: +4000 (Bet $100 to win $4000)

Now we start to get into the teams that are at least one move away from being a title contender. It is still way too early to talk about the potential of Zion being a bust, but the Pelicans are going to need their star to get back on the court as soon as possible. Brandon Ingram had a solid year, averaging 22.7, 5.8, and 5.6. The Pelicans are going to need to surround him and Zion with shooters to help space the floor.

Toronto Raptors Championship Odds

Odds: +5000 (Bet $100 to win $5000)

Toronto had an early exit in this year’s playoffs, losing in the first round to the 76ers in 6 games. Scottie Barnes won the Rookie of the Year award, and the Raptors are hoping he continues to improve on his stellar first year. Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, and Scottie Barnes have the potential to be a dangerous lineup in the coming years.

Utah Jazz Championship Odds

Odds: +5000 (Bet $100 to win $5000)

The Jazz are probably the most disappointing team over the last several years. It seems like they always have a good regular season and get a high seed going into the playoffs, just to get bounced early. Rumors have been flying about the Jazz splitting up Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. I believe one of them will be gone come next year. Their chances will depend on the return that they get for one of these stars.

Chicago Bulls Championship Odds

Odds: +6000 (Bet $100 to win $6000)

I disagree with the Bulls being this low on the list. They missed Lonzo a lot this past season, especially vs the Bucks in the playoffs. He is the guy that makes this offense flow, and can make life a lot easier on DeMar DeRozan, who was a potential candidate for MVP at one point this season. The Bulls are going to need at least one more scorer to help out Lonzo, Demar, and Vucevic on the offensive end.

Atlanta Hawks Championship Odds

Odds: +8000 (Bet $100 to win $8000)

It's crazy to think about the Atlanta Hawks being in the Eastern Conference Finals just one season ago. They struggled this year with injuries and had people in and out of the lineup which hurt their seeding and eventually had them in a play-in game. John Collins is a name to watch on the trade market. Could they potentially package him and some other role players for a Rudy Gobert to pair with Trae Young? Regardless, don’t sleep on a healthy Atlanta Hawks team.

Minnesota Timberwolves Championship Odds

Odds: +8000 (Bet $100 to win $8000)

Anthony Edwards is a star. He along with Karl Anthony Towns have the potential to be a scary duo in the Western Conference. The Timberwolves lacked depth this past season. D’Angelo Russell was really the only other player on this team that gave them any sort of help on offense. They will be in the market for athletic “3 and D” wings this summer.

Charlotte Hornets Championship Odds

Odds: +10000 (Bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Hornets have a solid young core that is steadily improving. They have made the news for the wrong reasons this Summer, as it seems like this team is very immature. The Hornets are going to need to get some more veterans and surround LaMelo Ball with whoever he wants to play with. He is the guy in Charlotte, and they should do whatever they need to do to keep him a Hornet for as long as possible.

Cleveland Cavaliers Championship Odds

Odds: +10000 (Bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Cavaliers started out last year hot, starting the season 35-21. They would then catch the injury bug and begin to struggle and finish the year 9-17, falling to the play-in game where they would lose consecutive games to the Nets and the Hawks. Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley will look to bounce back and get off to a similar start again next year.

Portland Trail Blazers Championship Odds

Odds: +10000 (Bet $100 to win $10,000)

Can someone please get Damian Lillard out of Portland? This team seems to be nowhere near surrounding him with the pieces necessary to make a deep run in the playoffs. The 31-year-old either needs to get out of there as soon as possible or demand that management gets aggressive this offseason and gets him some star players if he wants the opportunity to win a ring before his career is over.

New York Knicks Championship Odds

Odds: +10000 (Bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Knicks' only hope of becoming a contender in the near future is if the Nets are unhappy with Kyrie and get rid of him and Kyrie wants to stay local and become a Knick. Besides that, the Knicks will continue to look like the Knicks for at least one more season. Resigning Mitchell Robinson should be a priority for them this summer to anchor their defense.

Houston Rockets Championship Odds

Odds: +50000 (Bet $100 to win $50,000)

Jalen Green looks like he has the potential to be a stud. The Rockets also have the third overall draft pick in this year’s draft. Look for them to potentially target Dukes Paolo Banchero at that spot. There is no doubt that they are in rebuilding mode and next season will be all about developing Jalen Green and whoever they select in this upcoming draft.

Orlando Magic Championship Odds

Odds: +50000 (Bet $100 to win $50,000)

The Magic hold the number 1 overall pick in this year’s draft. They are going to need to make the right decision here as they have struggled to accumulate wins over the last several seasons. Potential targets include Chet Holmgren out of Gonzaga and Jabari Smith out of Auburn.

Sacramento Kings Championship Odds

Odds: +50000 (Bet $100 to win $50,000)

The Kings have some pieces to be happy about going forward in De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. However, the Kings are multiple pieces away from being a true playoff-caliber team. They also hold the 4th pick in this years draft.

San Antonio Spurs Championship Odds

Odds: +50000 (Bet $100 to win $50,000)

The Spurs have a ton of question marks regarding their future. How long will Greg Popovich continue to coach? And they have to make a decision on whether or not they want to resign Lonnie Walker this summer. Dejounte Murray needs more help if the Spurs are going to take that next step.

Washington Wizards Championship Odds

Odds: +50000 (Bet $100 to win $50,000)

Similar to Damian Lillard’s situation, Bradley Beal has been killing it in Washington individually, but it doesn’t seem like he is going to give Washington a championship. It seems like Beal is happy playing for the Wizards and making the most amount of money possible, but they are another team that needs to make multiple moves if they want to one day contend for a title.

Detroit Pistons Championship Odds

Odds: +100000 (Bet $100 to win $100,000)

It seems like the Pistons nailed their first overall pick from last season, drafting Cade Cunningham. Cunningham averaged 17.4, 5.5, and 5.6 in his rookie season. Detroit has the 5th overall pick in this year’s draft and look for them to find another young star to pair with Cunningham.

Indiana Pacers Championship Odds

Odds: +100000 (Bet $100 to win $100,000)

It is looking like Tyrese Haliburton is going to be the cornerstone piece that this franchise is going to build around. He averaged 15.3, 4, and 8.2 this past season, and has unlimited potential. Look for Haliburton to start to take over next season.

Oklahoma City Thunder Championship Odds

Odds: +100000 (Bet $100 to win $100,000)

The Thunder have very low expectations for next season, but they have the potential to have a bright future. They already have good young players in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and rookie Josh Giddey. They have 3 first-round picks in this draft and will continue to have around 3 first-rounders every year for the next 4 or so drafts. If they can hit on just a couple of these picks, they can have the opportunity to rebuild this team into a contender.
