Reading UFC betting odds is really easy. If you’ve ever bet on another sport in the past, you’ll already be up to speed, but don’t worry if you haven’t, this simple guide will teach you everything you need to know to understand UFC odds.

UFC fight night odds are pretty simple, you’ll see the name of the two fighters with a three-digit number next to them. The fighter with the lowest number (usually the one with a - sign before the digits) is the favorite, while the higher number (usually preceded by a +) is the underdog.

Let’s take a look at an example of UFC fight odds.

● Serghei Spivac -225

● Aleksei Oleinik +175

In this case, the UFC odds show that Serghei Spivac is the favorite.

You can also use these UFC odds to work out how much you’d receive if your bet is successful. Positive and negative odds need to be calculated in slightly different ways though, so be careful you don’t mix them up.

UFC betting odds of +175 show you that you’d receive $175 of winnings on a $100 bet. In total, that would mean you’d receive $275 from the sportsbook as your original stake also gets returned.

However, odds of -225 show you that you need to bet $225 to receive winnings of $100. In this instance, you’d receive $325 back.

Betting on the UFC is easy. You’ll also find that there is plenty of choice when it comes to the different markets available. For each fight, you’ll be able to bet on who will win, as well as things like how many rounds the fight will last and what method of victory will decide the winner.

You can also mix some of these together, for example, by choosing which fighter will win and by the method. In addition to comparing UFC betting odds, you can get even more from your MMA betting by taking advantage of free bet offers that are offered by most sportsbooks here in the USA.

As you will see from ourUFC betting guide, betting on any UFC odds is easy. The reason you will see some UFC fight night odds displayed as a positive number and others as a negative is that this helps to distinguish between which player is the favorite and which is the underdog.

Favorites have - odds, while the underdogs have + odds. You bet on them in exactly the same way, just go to the sportsbook’s website, select the bet you want to place, and fill out the betting slip.

If you think the favorite will win, select the negative UFC odds. If you think the underdog will beat the favorite, select the positive odds.

As is the case with other MMA betting, the favorites don’t always win in the UFC, despite having the best odds. Sportsbooks factor this in when they set UFC betting odds, as there is always a chance that the underdog will overcome the factors that put them at a perceived disadvantage. The percentage changes frequently with each new fight, but on average, the fighter with the best UFC fight odds is likely to win two out of three times (67%).

It isn’t necessarily as simple as that though as a favorite with UFC betting odds of -900 is much more likely to win than a favorite with -100. In fact, of the handful of fights that have seen fighters with such one-sided odds, around 90% of the favorites won. Of course, that doesn’t necessarily make such fighters a great bet as there is unlikely to be much value on the table. However, if you do choose to place bets on these strong favorites (or any other contender), be sure to use our UFC fight odds grid to find the best sportsbook to place your bet with.

The next big UFC fight is UFC 285. The main card will be Jones vs Gane and will take place on March the 5th, 2023.
