Von Miller Trade: How the Trade Impacts the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl Odds

The Los Angeles Rams have been unbelievably hot to start their season. Through eight games they are 7-1 and the Matt Stafford and Sean McVay hype was every bit worthy of the offseason conversation that it yielded.

The team is pretty stacked from top to bottom but the one area that you could say was lacking was an edge pass rush to complement Aaron Donald. Well, that’s not the case anymore as the Rams just traded for Von Miller in a blockbuster trade.

Even at 32 years old, Miller is still an effective player. So far this year he has 4.5 sacks in seven games to go along with nine quarterback hits and 16 total pressures. The Rams, who are clearly in win-now mode, will gladly trade a couple of day two picks for a game-changing edge presence.

The question now becomes what does that mean for their Super Bowl odds? Well, the books are already starting to change their price.

Both FanDuel and FoxBet have their odds go from +700 to +650 after the trade. The Rams are third to only the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers when looking at Super Bowl favorites. With four one-loss teams in the NFC, the race to the Super Bowl won’t be easy. One thing is for certain though, the Rams aren’t messing around with their window. Sean McVay and company are going all out for Super Bowl LVI.
