NFL MVP Race: Tom Brady New MVP Odds Favorite After Week 9 Full Of Surprises

Considering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a bye week in Week 9 of the NFL season, it’s somewhat surprising that their legendary Quarterback Tom Brady managed to have his MVP chances strengthened!

Brady, who is a three-time regular season MVP winner (and a five-time Super Bowl MVP) has now shortened into favorite with Caesars Sportsbook in the NFL MVP odds market, overtaking previous favorite Josh Allen at the top of the odds board.

So, how did a player not playing in week 9 become the new NFL MVP race favorite? Well, that’s simple, all the other leading contenders managed to damage their chances! First up, it was the news from Green Bay that Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID and is likely to miss a number of games. Kyler Murray missed the Cardinals win over the 49ers due to injury and then more shockingly, Josh Allen, the original front-runner in the NFL MVP race saw his Bills side lose to the Jags in the biggest shock of the season so far.

By sitting at home with his feet up, Tom Brady became the new favorite in the NFL MVP race betting market. Let’s take a look at how those NFL MVP odds are shaping up now.

Tom Brady now tops the NFL MVP odds board as the +350 favorite with Caesars Sportsbook, with last week's favorite Josh Allen next in at +400, or 4/1 in fractional terms.  View the favorites for the NFL MVP race below.
