NFL MVP Odds: Aaron Rodgers is Still The Frontrunner After Another Dominant Game
NFL MVP Odds: Aaron Rodgers is Still The Frontrunner After Another Dominant Game
Joe Burrow has made a late push for the NFL MVP, there was some love for Derrick Henry before the injury, Tom Brady before the implosion against the Saints, and even Jonathan Taylor for a while. After 17 weeks of the NFL season, still there is just one man for this award, Aaron Rodgers.
Yes, the Burrow magic the last two weeks has been so much fun to watch but looking at the entirety of the season, I'm not sure how Aaron Rodgers doesn't take home the award as he's still the favorite when looking at NFL MVP odds.
Last night was just another display of dominance as he went 29 of 38 for 288 yards 2 touchdowns and a 114.8 rating. He now is at four weeks in a row of a quarterback rating above 114.
For the second season in a row, Rodgers is your leader in adjusted net yards per attempt, QBR, rating, TD%, and INT%. In pretty much every measurable stat, Aaron Rodgers has proven to be the best in 2021.
The irony of this year is the start that everyone saw in Week 1. He threw two interceptions and had 133 passing yards and everyone thought he was cooked. Since then he's had 35 touchdown passes to just two interceptions. It doesn't get much cleaner than that.
When looking at the NFL MVP odds, the next closest right now is Tom Brady at +500. You go from Aaron Rodgers with an 80 percent chance to take home the award to Brady at just 16.67 percent. Something catastrophic would have to happen in order for Rodgers not to win the NFL MVP. I don't buy that happening.
